The staff is amazing, the management is not. They are completely out of touch with what is going happening on the floor. The management is comfortable in their jobs and do not have to do the hard stuff, especially when they are sitting in their office or behind the desk all day. My mother transitioned into her final days Thanksgiving week. My sister and I live far away and were calling and calling and no answered or call back to us from Bluffview for 24 hours. They are not supposed to have aggressive patients and in that final week they moved an aggressive man (So aggressive the police had to come at one point) next to my mom's room who we discovered kept going into her room. At one point when I went to take a Facetime to update a family member about my mom, this man approached me from behind and hit me and was yelling at me. He then went in his room and got a fork (not to mention how he was treating floor staff). When I escalated this to Patty and have them move him away from mom, her response was that I should not have been on a video call and that they have another resident that is violent. I would stay with my mom a week at a time for 10 hours a day to learn the staff and understand the real care my mom was getting. One time I came in at night and my mother was in a tank top and underwear shivering with a blanket. I was told they didn't do her laundry that day so she didn't have anything else to wear, even though we were paying for top tier. When Kim (Head Nurse) came on, they had a turnover of 15 staff members. She would come into my mom's room and start checking her without acknowledged me or explaining what she was checking for on our mom. Julia was also not a good manager and so out of touch with what was going on with our mother that she could only give us updates by reading other people's notes. She was very condescending to us and floor staff. I called corporate three times, leaving message (Including to Keith Tompkins around the issue we were seeing) and I never heard back. Like I said, the floor staff is great and I wish management treated them and paid them better. I am so thankful to the floor staff, the ones that truly cared, loved and protected our mother in the midst of trying to navigate terrible leadership.

I would’ve gave this place five stars if it weren’t for one very significant thing for me. my father was moved to this facility in 2023 because another facility HOPE STAY was a horrible facility for him to be at. When he was being transferred, he was transferred with whatever belongings Hope Stay decided to send him with. Initially, when My dad got to Bluff view I was told my dad had this necklace on his neck, which he never took off since I was a baby even before I was born this necklace never came off my dad’s neck. He showered with it & everything, Somehow, when my dad passed away last March, The necklace is missing… it was a family heirloom, and even though it was just a silver Saint Joseph pendant on a silver chain, it had meaning , his mother gave that to him. My grandmother who died gave that to him. When he passed, no one could find it, and I don’t necessarily know if The necklace went missing before the transfer or after, but I can say I’m heartbroken. No one has found it so not only have I lost my father I also lost something that was rightfully supposed to be handed down to me from my grandmother to my father to me. However, I can say that the staff was so amazing with my father at Bluff view and I appreciate every single moment they cared for him because they were just phenomenal this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the staff was wonderful, The facility was clean and so welcoming so I do want to say thank you Bluff view, however, that does not change the factI will never see this family again

All staff does a great job of respecting the residents. The front desk staff is always welcoming and is a great asset. Phil keeps the facility functioning well and helps in emergencies.

My Mother was admitted to Bluffview over 5 Yrs. ago at a time when she was experiencing mild memory loss. My concern at that time was finding her a facility that would adapt to her changing needs as her condition deteriorated. Looking back now I know I chose the right facility. I was reassured that as her needs changed so would their "care plan" while allowing her to stay at Bluffview. The staff has always kept me abreast of her changing medical needs as well as her daily comfort. If you are viewing this in an effort to select a facility for your loved one, look no further . . . . .

This is a great place for your loved one to reside. My father has received excellent care here. The staff is great. They have plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. They also offer fun things for the families. I have taken part of some sip & paint classes. Most recently they hosted a chicken Q. Wonderful place for everyone battling memory issues.
