This facility operates with no dedictaed RN and has had no full time nurse coverage since August of 2024. Before making any decisions about placing your loved one here, I strongly recommend reviewing the state surveys. This facility has gone almost a full year without a registered nurse (RN) on staff, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality care. In addition to this concerning oversight, the care staff is either inadequately trained or, in many cases, completely unqualified. Many of the caregivers are hired with little to no experience, often brought in off the street, and are left to figure things out on their own. The facility puts them to work before they even finish their training. This lack of training is also evident in the state surveys and the community has received several citations (public information if you want to look it up) due to lack of training, among other ongoing confirmed negligences and instances of abuse. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I can confidently say this is one of the most poorly managed facilities (and companies) I’ve ever encountered. If you tour the facility, take the time to check out the memory care unit, as the quality of care there is shockingly subpar. The last two state surveys also reflect this ongoing issue. I’d also suggest looking at the surveys for other Bonaventure properties — this company and the family behind it have proven time and again that they are not fit to manage facilities that care for vulnerable, elderly populations. They couldn’t run a basic operation like a bowling alley, let alone an assisted living community. This is a disgrace to our elderly and their families. Please, proceed with caution.

My father recently moved to Bonaventure and loves it! The Director (Jen) is fantastic and took great care of us from the selection process to move-in and beyond. The facility is clean, the staff is happy and engaged, and the residents enjoy friendships, good food, and fun. I highly recommend Bonaventure of Gresham!

I toured several facilities when looking for a retirement home for my Mom. Bonaventure quickly went to the top of the list for both the energy and environment that are there. I highly recommend Bonaventure to anyone who is looking for a wonderful living environment for aging parents. My Mom started off in Assisted Living and eventually transitioned to memory care. In assisted living there were planned activities every day and planned outings at least once a week. They create a real sense of community. The staff are friendly, attentive and caring. When it came time to move to memory care, the staff went the extra mile to integrate her into the daily activities and routines. She truly felt loved and cared for and the staff were amazing in both their care and communication.
