Bonaventure of Tigard Assisted Living

I wish I could give them less than a one star. Bonaventure review I would urge you to look elsewhere when looking for placement. This place has management that does not care. They care about profits over people, you are just a walking dollar sign to them. Anyway they can gauge you and move the price up they will. Not only do they not care about your family member, they allow employees to drink on the job, smoke marijuana, and who knows what else. I was looking here due to a family friend having their parents here, but after hearing them finding numerous alcohol containers, scattered around the building, on more than one occasion. I have decided to look elsewhere. It seems that the management that cared and had this place walked away (no surprise). Despite the remodel, the inside does not match. It messy, ugly and lacks the heart and soul of a caregiver or long-term care team. Staffer is nowhere to be seen in this building at anytime- If you care about your family member, want them to be safe and not abused or neglected I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Anywhere but here.

We moved my dad into Bonaventure Tigard in October of 2025. After interviewing several other facilities, we felt like this was the best fit. It's scary, doing this for the first time. Almost every bit of advice they gave us was relevant and helpful. I didn't believe he would thrive and adapt, but he did. I look at this as a partnership and make a point of working with the staff and having realistic expectations. They have worked with us to address some of his unique issues and I'm happy with the outcome. It's a sad time, but it could be worse. I'm grateful for the care he is getting, the environment of the facility and the commitment I've seen in those I've gotten to know.

My parents were one of the first residents in BV when it opened in 2016 as my father needed memory care because of his constant wandering, so my mother went into the independent living and spent every day with my dad there in memory care until he died in 2019. When my mom started showing signs of the same dementia symptoms we moved her to memory care where we thought she would be well taken care of, but she is basically ignored and the price more than doubled. Her sheets and comforters are missing, her phone disappeared, laundry overflowing, filthy toilet... they only take care of people if someone is watching...I grudgingly give it one star.
