It meant the world to me to know he was surrounded by people who truly saw him—not just as a resident, but as the funny, tender-hearted man he was. You treated him with such patience and compassion, and I could see how your kindness brought out his humor, even on the harder days. I know he kept you on your toes with his wit and his favorite line—“living the dream”. It brought me so much comfort to know he was in the care of people who not only kept him safe and comfortable, but who also laughed with him, listened to him, and truly connected with him.
