This Assisted Living has been a blessing to our family! For over 4.5 years, they've provided exceptional care for my father, and 2 weeks ago my mother has also found a loving home with them. The staff's compassion, kindness, and dedication shine through in every interaction. Flexible visiting hours have been a huge relief, and Yvonne and Graham's attentiveness with appointments has been outstanding. Their care has been truly lifesaving for us. We can't thank them enough for the love and support they've shown our parents.

I just visited my grandparents at Bowie Spring in Maryland and I’m blown away by the staff dedication. The activities teams was engaging with them in their room during artwork. I’m bringing joy to their day. It’s not always easy to understand Alzheimer’s, but the staff here have been amazing in tailoring care to each individuals need a huge thank you to the entire team for the love care and compassion. They show our loved ones. You’ve made a significant different in our lives.

A True Sanctuary for Seniors I am heartbroken to write this review as it marks the passing of my beloved grandmother, who was a resident at Bowie Spring for an incredible six years. However, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for the exceptional care, compassion, and love she received from the entire staff. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we had found a true sanctuary for seniors. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the professionalism and kindness of the caregivers, made my grandmother feel like she was home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure her physical, emotional, and social needs were met, and we are forever grateful for their dedication. The facility's commitment to providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment was evident in every aspect of our visits. The activities, meals, and amenities were all tailored to promote a sense of community and well-being. We will deeply miss Bowie Spring Assisted Living but we take comfort in knowing that the memories and experiences my grandmother had there will stay with us forever. To the entire staff, thank you for being an extension of our family and for loving and caring for our grandmother as one of your own. We will always be grateful for the time we had with them.

This place is awful. If you want your loved one to be safe and treated with compassion and dignity this is not the place. I find it hard to believe anyone gave this place more than one star. My mother is 94 has dementia and was there for 8 months. The staff is lazy and the owner/ nurse is never there and very hard to contact. Once you finally get the owner/nurse she is less than helpful. They treat their residents like potted plants. There are no activities or interaction with the residents. The food served is out of a can, pork and beans with a potato, no nutritional value. My mom withered away in the 6 months she was there. The last six weeks they didn’t get her out of her bed because she was experiencing pain and they had no interested in finding a way to relieve her pain. The staff doesn’t seem to be trained. I watched the staff change my mom’s soiled linen and she screamed in pain as they moved her and they didn’t acknowledge her screams. Also little things I noticed, like her television would be on but too low for her to hear it or on a random channel that she’d would never watch. Her water bottle was out of reach and she was dehydrated. I often called and the phone went to voicemail. English is a second language for the staff and communication was very difficult for both my mom and I. I have moved my mom and within 24 hrs I learned that she can with help get out of bed and go to the bathroom on her own. I’ve also learned from the nurse at the new place, when going over my mother’s medical log sheets from Bowie Spring, that her meds were not always administered correctly which is dangerous. I’ve included a picture of the staff sleeping. I have many. I’m just posting one.

I have been at Bowie Springs Assisted Living for 6 weeks after I broke my ankle. It is a well appointed house in Bowie with everything I needed to be comfortable. The house itself has large nicely decorated rooms. I was in a wheelchair and everything was easily accessible to me. The caregivers were capable and available. They made sure I was taken care of according to Doctor’s orders. On Thanksgiving day they brought in a feast for the patients and their families to enjoy. Every effort is made to make the residents feel at home.
