I just got home from visiting my friend DUNA who I cared for for almost 2yrs.This review is about the care and staff at this facility..Well of course every one knows DUNA she is about to turn 101 soon and is such a pleasure to care for.As a retired nurse myself,I could not let the day end without commenting on the professional staff that work there. Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Ralph who went out of his way, took pictures of us together, took me to her room and was kind and compassionate. I always see Vinny who was off today, but no matter what day, which staff member, they are all gentle and caring like in my 40yrs of nursing I've never experienced Dunas daughter picked the perfect place for her mom.! Today was so peaceful , but there are days when they are Rock'in and ROLL'IN...YOU"VE GOTTA VISIT REFLECTIONS...!! .

I volunteer every Saturday to help with activities! The staff are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met and they care so much about the residents there. They made me feel welcome and comfortable from the start and overall make the environment fun, safe and enjoyable. The building itself is wonderful as well, very well kept and nice. Brandywine Reflections is an amazing place and I’ve loved my time there from the start!

I don’t like writing reviews or making recommendations, but they can be helpful when you are looking for guidance with difficult decisions. In a “perfect world”, the best place for my Mother would have been home with family watching over her 24/7. In the "real world”, Brandywine Reflections was the next best place and an argument could be made that it was actually better than we could have done at home. I looked at several facilities and this was by far the nicest layout for memory care that was also close to me. The staff was super accommodating, during the initial move in and adjustment period (for me ) and throughout Mom’s stay over a 2 year period. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by people that have gotten to know you and your loved one, it had the feeling of a close knit family. The entire staff, I felt, had connected with Mom. This includes administrators, nurses, patient care aids, dietary workers, activity directors, beauticians, housekeeping and maintenance workers, and anyone else I may have not mentioned were part of a team that provided a safe and comfortable environment for her. While each resident has their own unique needs and everyone has different expectations, I was often amazed at how well the staff handled so many different challenges and how everyone regardless of job title jumped in to assist with the many phases of caring for this unique population. I know I made the correct choice placing Mom there and want to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to everyone that came in contact with Mom and helped provide care to her as well as share my experience with those that are facing the very difficult decision of turning over the care of a loved one to someone else.

My family member has been living at Reflections for several years. We were all welcomed with open arms and the instantly worked hard to make our mom feel comfortable and at home. The staff truly cares about the residents and are so patient and kind. Everyone is treated with respect and dignity. They also include the entire family. I especially love how they make family members who live far away feel included and informed. It has been difficult seeing the decline of our family member but knowing she is so well cared for makes it hurt a little less. I would highly recommend Reflections to anyone in need of a memory care residence for their family .

Reflections is the best place for my father. My family and I are at peace knowing he is so well taken care of, in every way. Every individual on their staff is caring and attentive, enthusiastic and compassionate. Every inch of the place is clean, cheerful and bright. The food is good and the activities are great. I will often drop in to attend the activities with my father. The support of the nurses is phenomenal. They are helpful and encouraging and always follow through to answer my questions and address my concerns. The administrator Melissa is hands on and always available. They have made it feel like a big family there. Dementia is a difficult and sad disease, always new challenges arising...so since my father can't be home anymore, I'm glad he is at Reflections. He is getting the best care, and honestly, because of the support and compassion, the staff may not know it but they are taking care of us, too. I feel strongly to say that my aunt is in another facility for dementia...NOT a Brandywine facility...so I have something to compare this to. Brandywine at Reflections is by far the better choice.
