BRENTWOOD RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

Great while it lasted, but seeing they are closing and kicking out all the residents it's pretty sad. Promised great things and improvements when lilac came in, but instead they made the residents without a place to live, and all the employees with no work! Pretty disgusting, and disgraceful to me and Google to.

My Mom lived in assisted living here for several years due to dementia. Staff was always good to her. Cleanliness was always an issue from mice to German Roaches. In May, I was told she rolled out of bed. She was sent to ER. I was not called. She had significant injuries with bumps on both sides of her head and both eyes swollen, black & blue. Her whole face was very swollen. She is now at a skilled nursing center and I've asked both the Administrator and the Corporate office (Lilac Health) for information on how these injuries occurred. The Administrator would only give limited information and says she will call back with more information. The Corporate will not respond to my concerns.

They DID NOT CONTACT ME when my mother passed away at their facility. I arrived the next morning to see her and found out when I went first to her room and then to physical therapy looking for her. They all looked at me with horrified faces when I said just looking for my mom. They called the head nurse and she came by and told me. Said we tried to call you. They had no trouble calling me when they wanted to meet to talk about their fees. They also had already sent her to the wrong funeral home. The right place had to go get her. Very poor. And I had always heard good things about the place.

I deliver library books to shut-ins at the Brentwood Assisted Living so I walk through frequently. It seems clean. The staff is always busy and friendly. There is a sign-in at the front door which some facilities don't have. I would prefer that. It has gotten several awards if I'm not mistaken.

Clean and responsive. Had a couple issues on the first day that were quickly resolved. Call bell answered quickly 90% of the time. Food is decent, with large variety, coffee is terrible. Nurses are friendly with varying degrees of knowledge. Assistants are helpful, though not always skilled. Room was clean and modern. TV was newer and large screen.
