Words cannot even begin to describe the love, patience and care that the professionals at Bright Horizons showed my father. My dad joined the BH family about 8 months ago after spending time in rehabilitation following surgery from a fall. He was 85 at the time. The aids were amazing as were the owners, two sisters that share a passion for caring for others. We considered several alternatives however the nurses at the hospital and with Hospice were very much in favor of this single family home turned into a long term care facility. The 2-5 patient ratio afforded my dad and the other patients very close attention to their every need. I visited often and someone was constantly cleaning. At face value you may not realize that this very modest home outperforms the much larger facilities who assign one aid to care for as many as 15 patients a day. I was very nervous at first, after all I had cared for my dad myself for 6 years and was reluctant to let anyone else take over. That fear subsided the first time I visited and found my dad dancing with an aid in the living room. The meals were exceptional and their attention to little details made his stay there very special. Sadly, we lost my dad today. We are comforted knowing that he is no longer suffering. The staff at Bright Horizons mad his final months comfortable. If you are considering bringing a loved one here for care know that they will treat them like one of their own. God bless you all! Love Tim
