This place just wants your money. Do not put your family member in the memory care unit. They are good at the sales pitch and then you find out it's all lies. I wish I knew where to recommend you go, but all I know is you do not want to have your family here. I had to put one star or I couldn't post this but I would like to have the option of negative stars.

My father became a resident in July. The staff has been amazing helping him acclimate to his new home. Everyone is friendly and helpful. There are two people that stand out in his everyday care. Wendy at the front desk and Shirley his third floor caregiver have been excellent in helping him deal with his anxiety. He has three wonderful meals a day and companionship. What more could you ask for.

My 95 year old mother lived at Brighton Gardens of Mountainside from January of 2024 until she passed in July of 2024. She had suffered a stroke in November of 2023 and my wife and I were no longer able to provide the level of care she required after her one month stay in subacute rehab. After researching and visiting facilities in the area, we decided on Brighton Gardens. My mother was apprehensive about moving into assisted living and it took her about a month to accept that she could not return home and acclimate herself to life at Brighton Gardens. Once she settled in and made some friends, my mother was the happiest she had been in years. She got involved in activities and enjoyed the live entertainment and other events held at the facility. My mom also loved the staff and I could tell when I visited that they were fond of her too. Regarding my family and me, Brighton Gardens provided us with peace of mind that mom was being well taken care of. Two standout staff members are Carol, the Director of Sales and Kim, the resident RN. Both Carol and Kim were there for my mom and my family for whatever we needed regarding her care. Claudia in the rehab center was also excellent and got my mother into the best possible physical condition. The rest of the staff was always very good natured, helpful and respectful. Making the choice to place a parent into assisted living is not easy. If you find yourself in that position, I highly recommend touring Brighton Gardens. I feel my mother and family were very fortunate they had a room available. They helped make my mom's last few months happy ones.

My dad moved into Brighton Gardens in Mountainside in April. He has received excellent care and they keep a very close eye on him and his health. They are kind and caring, and do a great job keeping him busy and engaged. Every time I visit, I am amazed at how kind the staff is and how happy the other residents are. The peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for is priceless. He likes everyone there (the staff and his fellow residents) which says a lot about the management of this facility. We toured many places before making a final decision, and this place felt most like home (Thank you Maureen). This was the best decision we could have made, and I am so happy my dad has acclimated so well. If you’re in the market for assisted living, do yourself a favor and take a tour here before you make a final decision.

I have such a pleasant experience coming here to visit my mother every day. Wendy is so pleasant and helpful to my mom and my mom loves the cheap polishes her nails periodically. Love you Wendy.
