Brockford Inn

My aunt is a resident of Brockford Inn - she is ninety years old and lives on the dementia wing of the facility. Since I've been visiting over the past year, I've noticed the staff has been attentive, kind and compassionate. Taking care of individuals in varying states of cognitive decline is especially challenging and the staff has shown patience and good humor in meeting the unique demands of this situation. I particularly notice the work of the caregiver Jesse as he serves the residents their meals in the dining area and shares movies with them on the big screen television; he obviously genuinely cares about the residents and has a special, personal relationship with many of them. I feel grateful my aunt found her way here when her situation could have been so very much worse...

My dad has been at the Brockford Inn at the Granite Falls facility since July. The administration and staff at Brockford have done a great job in caring for my dad.

As a person who had to make the hardest decision of putting my dad into a facility, let me give the most honest review a person can give. From the moment I met with this facility I was treated with care and compassion. Not once did I have a concern that was not immediately addressed. The staff works hard. The administrators work hard. They kept me informed. They were always available when I needed them. My dad was treated like family. I was treated like family. Were there staffing issues or attendance issues at time, of course. But that is everywhere and when it happened people stepped up and helped. They are kind to the residents. My father was in the Alzheimer's ward. He was violent at times and they handled him very well. They knew how to handle the anger WITHOUT DRUGS! They do not allow them just to be drugged out like other facilities. They are trained to handle them. Which was amazing to me! My dad, god bless him spent the last 6 months of his life in the care of this facility. When it came time for his end of life, they let us stay at the facility. We did not have to move him anywhere. They made sure we had snacks and drinks. The ones who loved him the most offered to stay and help sit with him and give us a break on their days off. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! They helped my dad transition to his new life with ease and grace. And held my family together during the process. Is it new? NO. Is it fancy? NO! Is it the place to treat your loved on like family? YES. Brockford Inn has 100000000 stars in my book. I miss the staff. I miss hearing from them and checking in daily. I miss my dad. But I am telling you they took care of me as well as my dad. That shows the difference between corporate owned and family owned. We were not just another bed filled. We were part of the group. Thank you to Brock, Shane, Jeska, and everyone who made my father's life as good as it could be. Thank you for being so good to my family. Thank you for being good to me. Thank you will never be enough for all you did and have done. TO anyone reading this... I assure you if you are having a hard time deciding..... this is the place. It IS the place. I wish anyone who has to make this decision the strength to get thru it. Thank you Brockford Inn for taking care of people! It is a hard job and you do it with kindness and grace. Had to put my mother here, and after a hard decision, I chose this facility, this facility is not just simply ran as a business, its also ran as a family. Jeska is by far the best caregiver, and takes the time to actually get to know her residents. Jeska took the time to ask questions and learn about my mother so she could better care for her. Thank you Jeska, and thank you Brockford for making this decision that much easier on me.

I have a friend who has been in memory care for 8 months. I am a nurse and history working with long term care facilities. I have been impressed with the care my friend has received. She is safe, well fed and cared by staff who have established a relationship with her. Thank you for all you do.
