BROOKDALE AUSTINTOWN

Brookdale Austintown has become a safe and caring home for my Aunt. She truly loves the staff, food, activities, and the other residents. I love that I can relax in knowing that she is receiving excellent care. The facility is lovely but the staff is where Brookdale truly shines. I cannot say enough good things about the care, kindness, compassion, and patience shown by every staff member not only for the residents but for their family members too. I have really appreciated the guidance and information that I’ve received. It’s helped me to better understand how to navigate this path with my Aunt. Brookdale is a true gem!

Don't put your loved one here! A family member had to file with the Ohio department of health because an employee assaulted a patient. After they gave the employee time off they brought the employee back. They charge $350 a month penalty fee if you don't have your prescription filled by them and also they enjoy $2,500 service fee just to take your loved one in.

This is an Excellent Facility and the staff is outstanding. The people are Loving and Caring and are trying to make our Loved ones lives fulfilling and as comfortable as possible. Sometimes Stuff happens things are lost or forgotten and these Great People figure out how to resolve problems and concerns and continue to take care of our Loved ones. Thank you For the Job that you Do! If our Loved ones could they would also say Thank you and I Love You!

My mother is a resident at Brookdale. The staff is very warm and inviting, the rooms are a nice size with private bathrooms...we were able to put two recliners in her room so there is a nice quiet place for people to sit when visiting. The facility prides itself with the belief that residents don't live where they work, but rather they work where you live! Which makes for a nice homey atmosphere. Renovations were just completed for the entire facility and looks beautiful as well as very functional. Exercise equipment has been installed for the residents to use... I'm excited to see my mother get stronger with the aid and supervision of the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Austintown Brookdale for your loved one.

My wife has been a resident of Brookdale for over eight years. The staff is professional and caring. I have investigated other Alzheimer's care facilities and consider Brookdale the superior facility. I plan to keep her there. That's not to say everything is perfect but the staff does respond to problems. I suspect the one star rating is from a disgruntled employee.
