BROOKDALE CAMELOT MEDINA

Read your contract thoroughly!! I had a relative who had stayed here when it was Brookdale Camelot. There was a constant turnover of Aides. The care was minimal and they took their good old time getting there. Be sure to use a nanny cam. It is now legal in the state of Ohio. You need to monitor the care of your loved one to make sure you are getting what you are paying for. It appears they are under new ownership here... Hopefully they will turn things around and make their contracts more fair. They should not continue to charge you for rent, once your loved one passes away! If I had to do over again, I would use private owned facilities only! So much more flexibility... And your complaints about staff won't fall on deaf ears. An aide announced, loudly..."Oh yeah, she's on her way out!" As she stood beside my relatives death bed. She was a big mouthed beast! Hopefully they have fired her by now... But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Now this uncaring Assisted Living Community has been bought out by Sinceri Senior Living, Vancouver Washington. Let's pray that they get it turned around. The residents need care, good food, activities and improved quality of life.

I would recommend Brookdale Camelot Assisted-Living facility. The staff is very attentive to my father's changing needs. The nursing staff is very knowledgeable on his medical needs and they work with me to keep his costs down while still providing the best care.

My Husband and I had to find an assisted living facility for his parents in a very short amount of time due to their health declining and we searched and interviewed several places. Brookdale Camelot in Medina was always a favorite of ours because of the location, price, staff and appearance. My mother in law was being discharged from a rehab facility and Brookdale made miracles happen to accommodate my in laws in less than 3 weeks. It's now been almost a year and they are very happy and very well taken care of! If my husband or I had any questions or concerns, we called Heather and any issues or questions were resolved within minutes.

We moved Mom in a week ago and she is already loving it! The staff, especially Heather, Stephanie, and Teresa, are kind, caring and know all the residents by name. They made the entire process easy and answered all our questions, even after hours. The residents are welcoming and go out of their way to introduce themselves and invite Mom to join them at meals. The food and activity options are great! The level of care and concern for safety is exceptional. Brookdale Camelot feels like one big, happy family. This was a great decision and the peace of mind we have knowing our Mom is safe, secure, and living her best life is priceless!
