Brookdale Cape May is the best place! We checked out other places and nothing comes close to the care that we get here for our father. I recommend anybody looking for a place for a loved one to check this out. The staff is unbelievably great with the residents!

We rest easier knowing that our family member is well cared for, both physically and emotionally. Can’t thank the staff enough!

At Brookdale It truly feels like their own "home" because it is! There is not an institutional atmosphere but at the same time, you know your family member is being well taken care of. Brookdale enables the residents to feel independent with lots of opportunities to socialize. It's worth every penny to be able to lay your head on your pillow and sleep well knowing your loved one is in a safe, clean, and healthy environment with staff that truly care. I can't thank the entire staff enough for guiding us through the challenges that come with a loved one struggling with dementia.

Brookdale Cape May takes exceptional care of my mom. I am unable to provide the assistance she needs on a daily basis. I am so appreciative of the compassionate staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and facility and the range of activities there. I know my mom is in good hands.

Brookdale made a lot of promises when I was researching an assisted living facility for my parents. They kept most of them. The one they reneged on was the offer to take residents to their doctor's appointment "anywhere within Cape May County". They will not take my mother to her doctor in Ocean City. Admittedly, it's at the edge of Cape May County, but still within. They have issues with keeping a driver on staff, but that's not my problem. Now, whenever I am unable to take her, my 91 year old father has to drive her. *Not* the ideal situation and certainly not the one we were promised. The food is not good at all. My father refuses to eat there (so we have to spend money having groceries delivered) and my mother goes down to every meal, but usually only eats one meal there because of the quality. Other residents complain about the food as well. All in all, I think Brookdale is a nice facility, but I believe you can get better value for your money. Shop around, investigate and make the right choice for your family's situation. Knowing everything I know now, I would not likely choose Brookdale.
