BROOKDALE CORPUS CHRISTI

My aunt is staying here in the assisted-living facility. They don’t allow patients to procure their own medications outside of the facility; at the same time, they do not provide medication on the correct schedule. They have one nurse who can administer certain medications, and we’re dealing with an issue right now where my aunt did not receive her medication on the right day because that one nurse is on vacation. No one is available to respond to this problem. I called and asked for a manager, and they merely connected me to a lower level medication tech, who did not know when they would be able to figure out when my aunt would receive her medication. Over the last few months, my aunt has had to ask over and over and over to get her basic medication filled. She purchased common skin cream from Walmart and they confiscated it because it wasn’t approved by their medical staff. Maybe that would be understandable if they would actually respond to her needs and provide services they are contracted to provide. I live out of state where it is difficult for me to help. My aunt is beyond disappointed and frustrated. Her mobility is not good enough to leave. Our whole family is extremely frustrated. Side note— My aunt helped raise me and she’s a pretty mellow and sweet person. I’ve never seen her this frustrated.

Brookdale Corpus Christi Assisted Living has been a fantastic choice for my mother. She feels cared for and secure. Our family is very grateful to facility personnel for the kindness and consideration extended to our mom. Great community!

They need to hire a few more people, but those aides that are here are very caring. Happy with my moms care, just feel like the workers are stretched thin. Still happy with my choice to put mom here.

The fellowship at Brookdale Corpus Christi is amazing. From the staff to the residents, this place is simply wonderful. I highly recommend that you come and see for yourself all that Brookdale Corpus Christi has to offer.

My father has been a resident here for 2 years. It is a lovely, warm, inviting home, large enough for residents to stroll inside or out and visit. The large front porch, with the view of palm trees, and the sound of their leaves rustling in the breeze, is a dream for resting and visiting. There is a safe walking area around the premises, where some residents may ride their bikes, work in the garden, or walk their dogs. Fresh coffee and beverages are always available for the residents. The community and staff are loving and friendly - and clearly love their jobs!! Music and activities are always happening.
