My mom lived at Brookdale Cypress Station for almost 3 years. She had advanced dementia, and was often defiant and combative. She was treated with kindness, respect and love. She was given as much independence as she could have and was genuinely cared for in those last years of her life. They took her on outings when she had good days and was in a community walking club. She did have a hospital stay while she lived there, and they kept in contact with me the whole time. There was always music playing and the staff had the best attitudes. It was so nice to know that she wasn’t in a toxic work environment. Watching the end of a loved one’s life is emotionally exhausting. Brookdale met me and my brother with compassion and sympathy each time we visited. I cannot recommend them enough.

My grandmother stayed at this facility for two months and it was two months of false promises and poor service. She has dementia. She was recovering from a previous hip and ankle surgery. She had three falls during her time at Brookdale Cypress Station which resulted in ER visits. The last one resulted in an internal brain bleed and weeks in ICU. When it happened, we were told she fell but was stable. When we asked how this happened, no one called us back. That afternoon we went to visit and my grandmothers eye was bloodshot red and swollen. We immediately asked for a transport to ER and the ICU team was appalled she wasn’t sent to them sooner. If we didn’t demand for her to go, my grandmother would’ve died at this facility. DO NOT leave your loved ones here especially if they are in the advanced stages of dementia. Most times they leave them in a room and they just sit there. Or they left my grandmother in her room for hours alone. One night after dialysis, she came back to no dinner. The nighttime aide left to go get chicken nuggets at McDonalds for her because they forgot to leave her dinner aside for her. This was unacceptable. They told us she would be safe, fed and they offered transportation. This was not what we experienced. We still had to coordinate her transportation to/from appointments. Her roommate often took things like clothing as well. Every time I visited, my grandmother had a different pair of glasses on. Her original pair were never found. They had patients wandering the hallways often. Do NOT leave your grandparents or loved ones here.

As a Notary Public, my visit to Brookdale Senior Living was a positive experience. The facility impressed me with its cleanliness, warm welcome, ample parking space, and a pleasant environment both indoors and outdoors. It's important to have such comfortable settings when providing notary services to clients, and Brookdale Cypress StationSenior Living certainly meets those criteria.

My husband and I have been living here for 3 months, and we could not be happier. The food, the staff, activities are wonderful. We are 83 and 76 with mobility issues, and Brookdale is perfect for us. The decision to give up independence can be a difficult one, but the Brookdale staff and the friendly atmosphere have shown this was the best decision we made. The facility is safe with beautiful rooms and lovely private courtyard. The staff is very hands-on and caring. Susan and Dan Soderquist

My mother was a resident at Brookdale for 3 years until her recent passing. I can’t say enough about the excellent care she received while living at Brookdale Cypress Station. Every member of the staff are caring, loving & treat the residents with the dignity they so richly deserve. Not only is the care that is provided exceptional but there are very positive interactions between staff & residents, fun games & special occasion events to keep the residents engaged. I highly recommend Brookdale Cypress Station to anyone who is seeking exceptional care for their loved one.
