Brookdale Dickinson Avenue

From the moment I walked into Brookdale, it truly felt like home. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful décor that gave every space a cozy, cared-for feeling. The receptionist greeted me right away with kindness which made a great first impression. I toured with Kimy, who was absolutely wonderful! She’s friendly, personable, and clearly passionate about the residents and her team. What really stood out to me was the strong sense of teamwork. Everyone communicated so well and you could tell that the staff and residents knew each other like family. Every room I saw was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall environment felt positive and uplifting. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in what they do and genuinely cares about the people who live there. Brookdale left me with such a great impression. A true community built on warmth, teamwork, and heart.

Some folks that I care about very much happen to live in this particular senior living community. It’s a warm and welcoming environment from the moment you walk in the door. The staff is attentive and responsive. In the memory care area, the staff appear to work hard to maintain a calm environment and treat residents with dignity.

DONT GO TO BROOKDALE LIVING! I would never send anyone there. And my neighbors are having bad experiance there also. 1.) Night shift stole diamond wedding ring off my sisters finger. 2.) They exagerate and over charge you for personal items. 3.) The manager filed a False Claim of Abusing my sister while she was at Dickenson because they claim I didnt take her to a doctor when in fact they knew I actually took her to more than 15 doctors while she was at Dickenson. They did this to cover their own mistakes reporting to North Carolina. 4.) State of NC attorney General encouraged me to file a claim against Brookdale Assisted Living. Brookdale is the most dishonest Senior Living company in North Carolina.

My father has received excellent care since moving into Brookdale in August. Prior to his move, he had fallen a few times, wasn’t eating well, and was lonely. The staff is very friendly, respectful, and attentive to his needs. He enjoys the activities and lunch outings. The facility is very clean. He has adjusted very well and has made new friends. I definitely recommend Brookdale.

Brookdale Dickinson has been very kind to my mother and I the four years she was there. The staff and Director Art Milbert bring a family experience to a time that is very difficult. She needed to be moved to skilled nursing. Art and his team moved her to the nursing home. Art, Shalon Little , and Herlina Kotroo helped me make some connection with Mom during this time either in person or on the phone. These folks made my and my mothers difficult time better. Thank you
