BROOKDALE FORT MYERS CYPRESS LAKE

The team is warm and friendly! Food is amazing and there are plenty of activities and theme nights. The pig roast at the Hawaiian luau was a night to be remembered! They have a heated pool and most of the apartments have huge lanai's to enjoy the beautiful view of 7 Lakes Golf Course. We love it here!

My mother just moved into the Cypress Lakes facility. Paula did a great job getting us in and making sure it worked for my mom, then Cindy and team toke over and made my mom feel at home. Really tough time, the Brookdale squad led by Angela and rockstars in Senior living! Thanks

Horrible living conditions for seniors. Care is deplorable for assisted living residents. We had to hire an outside cleaning company for my parent's apartment because when the staff was done cleaning, your feet would get stuck to the kitchen floor. Laundry (an "included" service, was brought back to the apartment in plastic bags, sometimes still wet, and dumped into the closets. They've left my mother sitting on the toilet for 45 minutes (found this out from an outside PT company) and 2 nights ago, she called me asking if I could call the front desk as she had been sliding out of her recliner and pressing her call button for the past 45 minutes with no response and was now almost on the floor. The list goes on and on :-(

I have an elderly neighbor whom is now a resident there. She has changed into a person I barely know! She has gone from an isolated, sad person into a very happy, social person and is very involved with the other residents. The facilities are clean and the staff is very loving and seem to enjoy what they do. After seeing her, I left in tears of happiness just knowing that she is in great hands, making friends and eating so well. She absolutely adores the food there and anxiously awaits for mealtime! That just astonishes me as she went into assisted living due to her serious loss of weight and weakness from not eating. Kudos to the staff at Brookdale! And, most importantly, she is allowed to have her beloved kitty there with her!

This place is only for those who have mobility! Do not waste your time or money thinking your loved one will get real care. The are very short staffed and nursing ability is limited. Especially after 6pm! They sell you on levels of care...don't believe it. If your love one needs oxygen care, they never check the tanks. The aids are simply that aids. They are not allowed to do any real care. The med tech's don't have a clue about the medicine they are giving and most of the time don't wait around long enough to make sure the medicine is swallowed. It's common to find pills on the floor. The call buttons don't work most of the time....no one ever checks the batteries. THERE ARE ANTS EVERYWHERE in the resident's apartments. If you don't visit this place daily to stay on top of everything you can expect they won't do their job. Housekeeping is a joke...beds never made, laundry never put away just piled on the bed. My loved one suffered a fall at this place and died as a result. Beware --- They charge a lot for very little care.
