Brookdale Fort Wayne

My mom has been there 2 years. My mom loves living there. When I call my mom 85% of the time she doesn't answer. She is almost always busy with an activity. Danielle keeps them busy. She is in tune with residents. Also very pleasant!!

Brookdale is the best!! My 92 yr old mother needed a memory care place when her rehab was over. Erin was the only one that kept in contact saying they wanted my mom & believed they could help her! No other facility did that when we checked them out! We said yes, and it’s the best decision we’ve ever made for our mom! Mom is stronger through physical, speech, & occupational therapy that they have on site! All of the employees care for each of the residents- you can tell when you walk in! Erin & the other staff up front engage with mom every day! They love her! There are always activities, outings, family caregiver meetings, & support groups! Our family would highly recommend Brookdale! Thank you to all of the employees for the love & care you give!

We are so pleased with Brookdale! The staff is accommodating and helpful. They are kind and patient and most importantly, my mother-in-law is at ease with all of them. Over the past years, due to Alzheimer's, my mother-in-law had become quite reclusive and withdrawn. However, since moving her into Brookdale at the end of July, she has made friends and seems so much happier. We highly recommend Brookdale!

My parents have been at Brookdale for 8 months. They are still messing up their medications and they often skip medications because they can't seem to figure out how to call in refills. I have had to call the pharmacy several times to get the refills sent over. We have discussed this in length with the staff and nothing changes. They keep making excuses but it is effecting my parents " Quality " of life. One positive note, the Activity Director, Molly, is amazing!

I had Guardianship of my mother for six year, I'm sure she had issues prior to that; at least a couple of years. We had to move her 4 times during the six year, because she was not welcome back, due to behavior issues!!! Even when you check the places out, sometime, trust me they were not capable of taking care of your Mom! They do not know how to handle the behavior issues, Well we found Brookdale & she lived there for two years " longest" & never had issue with the behavior. They just knew how to take care of someone with Dementia. They knew how to deal with her, they are the best & I'd recommend them to anyone, everyone I know!!!
