I would like to recognize Ashton , the Executive Director at Brookdale Senior Living in Kerrville, Texas, for the exceptional way she supports both residents and their families. From the moment my family and I met Ashton, she made us feel informed, comfortable, and confident in the care provided at the facility.Ashton took the time to clearly explain every detail about the community, its services, and what we could expect. She answered all of our questions with patience, honesty, and professionalism, which truly put our minds at ease during an important decision-making process.It is evident that Ashton deeply cares about the residents and the quality of their daily lives. She runs the facility with compassion, strong leadership, and a genuine commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The pride she takes in her work shows in every interaction and in the overall atmosphere of the community.My family and I are extremely grateful for Ashton’s guidance, dedication, and the care she ensures for everyone at Brookdale. She is a true asset to the facility and to the families there.

I wouldn’t even give them a star at all this place I would never ever take my mother father grandfather grandmother or any other family members live there the rent is ridiculous the food is horrible the money that these poor residents pay they should be eating high quality food the care in the mornings are awesome the evening crew are worst mean and ugly the night they don’t change the residents the Director she a nurse all she does she in her office on her phone don’t ask residents how they are in the mornings they can even tell you that they need to stop raising the rents and better food better people to work there that why a lot of good employees and good residents are leaving and I don’t blame them all the Director is worried about is that the place looks good which it don’t. Worry about ur residents

My mother has been at Brookdale for 3 1/2 years, she feels safe and enjoys interactions with the staff. She likes the activities and conversing with the other residents. It is very clean and well maintained. Sergio, Chesney, Albert, Oscar and Bobbi have been accessible and pleasant to work with. I appreciate all the precautions they have taken during this pandemic and the updates on changes they have communicated to me. We are pleased with the care here.

Although my mother is not memory-challenged, the interactions with staff (vs other residents) at Brookdale keep her stimulated and engaged. It was a good call to choose this location for its smaller, less institutionalized atmosphere while still guided by corporate structure and processes. Any and all activities entertain and cheer her, though we wish there were more on the weekends. While the precautions for COVID are frustrating to her, they are necessary, and the caring, cheerful nature of the staff and their understanding those frustrations are helpful. She absolutely adores Albert, Sergio and Oscar as well as the majority of the staff. Thank you for caring about her!

My mother was in Independent Living at the Brookdale facility on Plaza Dr. and then we moved her to the Brookdale Memory Care facility. She loved the Independent Living facility, and she is OK with the Memory Care facility. It was the right call to relocate her, and she has adjusted. The staff are kind to her; she says the food isn't as good. I'm very pleased with their precautions during the COVID pandemic and feel very thankful knowing they are careful and she is safe. Sergio is very responsive and attentive. I'm pleased.
