Our tour of this location of Brookdale was pleasant. We are unsure if the floor plans will work for our family member but the common areas & staff were all delightful. This Brookdale location is also nestled in a great area bordering Kettering & Beavercreek. Very close to the highway but not on the main road.

Update: I’m glad for those who have had positive experiences at Brookdale Kettering. I cannot say the same for our parents’ stay. In the two and a half years our parents have lived there, multiple items have been stolen. Laundry is rarely cleaned. Staffing is less than minimal, leading to incidents of neglect that are physically and emotionally injurious to our mom. Our father died six months after moving in. After that, the director and business manager began adding extra charges to our mother’s bill for things like laying out her clothes and helping her to the bathroom. Yet they do not perform these extra services on a consistent basis, so we end up paying for services not rendered. We have tried to work with the management to resolve these concerns, but promises are not kept and issues are ignored. Thus, we are applying to several state agencies for help. It should not be like this. Our senior citizens deserve so much better. Moved my parents into Brookdale Kettering last Friday. Kristen (sales and marketing) is awesome—she’s a big reason we decided on Brookdale. The move-in went smoothly, and Kristen even spent about an hour setting up cable for our parents’ TVs. Great first day service! Then, apparently on Sunday night, just two days into their stay, my dad’s wallet was opened and $100 was stolen from it. When this was reported to the director at Brookdale, she suggested to me that my parents may want to install cameras in their rooms. I said this was a good idea, and that Brookdale would, of course, pay for the cameras and installation. The director said No, my parents would have to pay for that themselves. I said I expected $100 would be deducted from his next month’s rent, and was again told No, they couldn’t do that. So the top-level staff is very kind and friendly, but they do very little to protect the possessions of their residents. I can still recommend Brookdale Kettering for those wanting independent and assisted living facilities. But don’t take anything there of value, because its safekeeping is not guaranteed. I wish the executive staff would work harder to protect what their residents worked hard all their lives to attain.

We absolutely love visiting my grandma here and all the fun things they do with their residents! The staff is friendly and makes you feel very welcome!
