Brookdale Melbourne is the BEST! I checked several facilities before my mom moved here. I visited a few times, always unannounced (pre-Covid of course). Everyone was always pleasant, not only to me, but to every resident there. The facility was bright, cheery, clean and welcoming. Other facilities I visited were dreary and the staff was actually yelling at a resident when I appeared unannounced. I have NEVER experienced that at Brookdale Melbourne in the several years my mom has been a resident. My mom loves it and everyone there. I can’t say enough about the place and highly recommend it to everyone!

To anyone considering Brookdale Melbourne as their Future Home I'll relay my 5 year experience with them to you. You will not make a mistake by having your loved ones consider Brookdale Melbourne for their next forever home. It has a Management Team that's second to none as these folks have been together for as long as I've been involved. I engage each department lead by name every time I visit and I always feel welcomed even on a no notice visit to see them. For the one or two issues I've had in the last 5 years both Management and Staff worked to resolve them in an expedient manor to my satisfaction. The Staff treats my loved ones with more dignity, compassion & respect than I would have some days. You know how difficult aging parents can be. I'm Appreciative of the Staff's patience, how well they listen and communicate to my parents and in laws. Yes, both sets of Parents have called Brookdale Melbourne their home. The Maintenance Dept is always open if anything is needed. Energizer Bunny comes to mind as they're always hopping around keeping the grounds safe and clean. My first exposure to Brookdale Melbourne was a Virtual Tour followed by an In Person Tour. I was clearly impressed by what I was told and saw with my own eyes. All appearances seemed to indicate a perfect fit for my wife having exceeded the care provided by Assisted Living and needing to move to a Memory Care facility. Not only did the physical attributes of the Brookdale Melbourne facility such as meal servings, apartment sizes and layouts, recreational arrangements and activities seem to warrant my wife moving in but the entire personal interactions of all staff members from Directors/Administrators to Wellness Nurses, Caretakers, and Housekeepers instilled in me a high degree of confidence and hopefulness for an improvement in my wife’s attitude, physical and mental health, and overall Quality of Life. My high hopes and expectations of the resultant improvement of my wife’s overall condition due to the care and attention of all staff members have not only been met but well exceeded. I remain very comfortable with the prospect of continued satisfaction with all aspects of my wife’s life under the circumstances of her condition. She now smiles and laughs, looking forward to my twice weekly visits always double checking that I will appear at the regular time. Our love for each other is enhanced by the life she leads at Brookdale Melbourne. Thank You so very much.

From the initial tour to the actual move in to present, they have gone out of their way to make our loved ones feel welcome and at home. They have catered to their unique needs and daily lives. They have also made our family feel part of their wonderful community.
