I am so absolutely blown away by the horrid staff here. We moved my grandmother moved here from Brookdale Memorial City in early August. She fell a week and a half in and broke her hip. She continually said there was ‘water on the floor’ and that’s why she fell. We will never know. She had hip surgery then was moved to an inpatient rehab facility. She was moved back to Brookdale Memorial Oaks on a Friday evening and then passed away suddenly 2.5 days later. I’m still confused as to why and how she died. Brookdale Memorial Oaks closed her room off (due to bed bugs 🤢) we weren’t allowed to access her belongings until today, 10/30. She passed away on 10/13. When we went today and entered the room, the staff had left everything covered in pesticide. My grandmothers food from her last meal was still on the nightstand (over 2 weeks old). We asked for assistance for cleaning the mess on the room. We found plastic gloves and a man we spoke to for help said, “Well at least you found some gloves.” The nurses and a gentleman named Austin who was previously at Brookdale Memorial City with my grandmother were very kind. The upper management and the sales people are completely horrible. I’m absolutely disgusted by this company and their treatment of this situation.

Brookdale Memorial oaks is a wonderful place! The staff is amazing! They respond to all our needs and have gone over and beyond to give my Mom a safe comfortable place to be! Everyone has been friendly and so helpful!

If I could give a minus rating I would. The reviews have to be written by employees. This was the worst place-they cover up the smells with air freshness in the halls - my friend was there for 2 weeks-no therapy and no bath! That place is digusting and that is a compliment! Furthermore, we moved my husband out June 1, 2025 and he had to pay for the whole month of June! That's how bad this place is-willing to pay just to get out-$10,000 for one day out of the month-shame on you-looking into reporting to state agency

Mothers ring stolen after she died and before she was transported out of her room, reported theft to Director and did a police report. Insurance paid. Now just heard my aunt in the memory care wing who just died is missing her diamond ring. No report filed yet. Moral to this story, let your Moms enjoy their blings and don’t expect them to be on their fingers when they pass.

I have been a resident here at Brookdale Memorial Oaks almost five years. I am very happy with my experience living here. In my opinion, it takes a very special type person to do what is necessary to work in this environment. The entire staff here are very caring and seem sincerely to want my life here to be as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Showing respect for me as a person. The food served is very good and you have multiple other choices to choose from if you don’t like the primary choice of the day. Also, if you have certain needs, such as being diabetic, every effort is made to accommodate those needs. There are numerous activities for residents provided by the Activities Director. Entertainment of various types are brought in on a regular basis each month. She also sets up outside field trips of interest. She is always open to listening to resident input of their personal interest. The nursing staff maintains good coordination with my medical needs. This is my home. I have many new friends here that have made my life more meaningful and enjoyable.
