Brookdale New Hope

Being here as a resident for two weeks. This place is well run with a shot out to many of the managers Yolanda, LaToya, Emmanuel, Pauline and LaTia. Brookdale New Hope has good medical service with a doctor and nurses everyday. I'm not only saying I like this place, I am also saying that I recommend it.

What An Amazing Team! In a word ~> Exemplary. To use another word~> Excellent. I have had an incredibly positive experience working with the terrific staff at Brookdale New Hope assisted living in Gastonia NC. My 71 year old aunt was in urgent need to find accommodation in early December. We, her family, came together to get her moved. Little did we know how happy she would be at Brookdale. ~> She is over the moon and thriving! We have found a loving, and wonderful home for our family member at Brookdale New Hope in Gastonia. My first touch with Brookdale New Hope was speaking with La’Toya Harris the Sales Manager. She was knowledgeable, available, kind, warm and very helpful, making me feel very comfortable with Brookdale as an institution right away. She was impactful and tireless. I needed to get my aunt out of where she was in quick fashion and LaToya was right there for me. She understood the sensitivity and my aunt’s vulnerability. La’Toya went above and beyond, of that I am certain, I called dozens of times over a 2-3 week period, and at odd hours on more than one occasion, and La’Toya was there for our family. Each interaction she conducted herself beautifully, always with a pleasant attitude, which brought a lightness to the entire experience. My next interaction was with La’Tia Hampton, the Registered Nurse at Brookdale. Wow! She was so great, she met my Aunt at her doctor’s office, and stuck with us on all the required health care documentation, working and dealing with the careless sluggishness of the doctors’ response time. La’Tia kept after everyone and she even met with my Aunt on her days off! She is very impressive to work with, her level of caring and availability is outstanding. La’Tia knows her stuff, she goes beyond her job and duty, and she gives of herself, and that is a very rare quality indeed. Following those 5 Star experiences, I had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with Yolanda Colson the Executive Director at Brookdale. She was very warm and professional, answered all my questions, contacted me on her days and nights off, answering my dozens of texts and calls coming to her cell in volume. Yolanda is a wonderfully personable and available director, who has wisely created an incredible environment for not only the residents at Brookdale New hope but she does so too, for the family of her residents, I can see clearly that she is respected by her team. And then there is Shannon Miller the new Business Office Coordinator at Brookdale New Hope. She often is the voice I hear when I call the main number at Brookdale. Shannon should consider a side business as the voice for soothing sounds radio. She carries a sweet song in her voice when she speaks, in it there is a gorgeous southern accent, (I live in NJ) which literally invites you kindly, she is welcoming and extremely pleasant. Shannon has answered my calls and emails, like the other amazing team members at Brookdale New Hope~> even when she was not working at the office. She has shown great professionalism, and kindness every step of the way. Today we had our first care plan meeting with my Aunt and it was great, all good news, my Aunt is happy, and thriving and she even put on more than 8 lbs. in her short time there at Brookdale. My Aunt raves about the food everyday - she absolutely loves every meal at Brookdale! I am writing today to tell you how lucky we are, and by I mean we, I mean Brookdale the Institution/ Company + my Aunt + my Family, and me. Latoya, and Latia, and Shannon and Yolanda are the type of rare breed that we do not often have the good fortune to see, they care. Doing their best matters and they each gave more than they were required by a job to give. That magical combination is our grand good fortune. I feel peace knowing my aunt is with these wonderful people at Brookdale New Hope. Each one, I would feel lucky to call friend, and each are absolutely marvelous representatives/ ambassadors for the Brookdale company. I will continue to HIGHLY recommend them! I just want to first of all thank God for Brookdale New Hope! They have truly been a blessing to me and my family. The staff has been absolutely wonderful. I can’t say enough about Latoya, Yolanda, and LaTia—they make such a great team! Everyone, from the event coordinator to the care aides, shows such respect and kindness. My father loves his environment and community. He often tells me how friendly everyone is and how he feels treated like a human being, not a problem to be managed—as can sadly be the case in many assisted living facilities. Since coming to Brookdale New Hope, he has really opened up, and that means the world to us. I’m praying for the entire team’s continued strength and joy in their calling, because serving others is not always easy. May you never grow weary in doing good. 🙏🏽❤️ Thank you, thank you for all you do!

Brookdale is a great place for those needing assisted living. The staff is attentive to residents needs with nursing, housekeeping, nourishing meals, and activities. There is a real sense of community here.

Brookdale New Hope is a wonderful community that provides excellent quality care! The staff listens to all our concerns and offers appropriate advice. It is such a great, home-like place for anyone. I love how friendly and caring all the staff members are; the warm, welcoming atmosphere is wonderful. I met some of the residents, and they all seem happy and enjoying living here. It was so stressful to find a safe, clean environment for my severely handicapped sister and her husband, who had a stroke. Knowing they are so well cared for makes life a little bit easier. I'm thankful every day that I found Brookdale New Hope in Gastonia. Highly recommend! Thank you, Gale Entler
