BROOKDALE OCEANSIDE

Brookdale Oceanside has been a Godsend! To a person, the staff is hard working, competent and most of all kind. In short, amazing! Our mom is more calm and happier than she has been in years. I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful people who care for her! Thank you❤️

Staff has Always been friendly,courteous and respectful and helpful. The facility is very clean and the mood is uplifting and cheerful. They are willing to help and make my brother comfortable. Since he has been a resident he smiles more often. Everybody greets me anytime I visit. They have scheduled a lot of activities and events to keep him active.

From C. Berke: My family is grateful to Brookdale Oceanside for helping us through a very challenging transition for our 94 year old. He needed to be transferred, within a few days, from the hospital into hospice care at a Memory Care facility. Fortunately we found Brookdale Oceanside and they were so responsive and they accepted our father and made the transition as smooth as possible. My father received excellent care, though he was only there for 2 weeks and then he passed. The staff coordinated well with hospice and did a wonderful job trying to keep my father comfortable and safe and not alone. Brookdale is well run, staff is very professional and kind, the facility was very clean and well set-up. I would recommend Brookdale Oceanside.

Our family has been impressed with the staff of Brookdale, Oceanside from day one! Everyone is so friendly and nice and we have been pleased to see how comfortable our dad is there and the wonderful care he receives. From the minute we walk in the door, we are greeted by the front desk staff who are always so helpful in every way! Matt, one of the caregivers, is always looking out for him and making sure he is doing well! The "restaurant" staff is attentive to his needs and is so kind to him! The activities director, Shell, has made him feel at home and to our surprise, he even participates in the exercise program at Brookdale which she leads! The woman who cleans his room and does his laundry does an exceptional job! All of this loving care adds up to our dad saying that it feels like home! Thank you so much to all who give him such wonderful care!

My mother has been at Brookdale since late April of 2021. She has severe dementia and lives in the dementia care section. She moved to Brookdale following a fall and hip surgery. The facility is clean and beautiful. The staff has provided outstanding care for her during her recovery and rehabilitation. They are experts in dementia And Alzheimer’s disease and provide the residents with a safe, secure, stimulating and fun community life. I have seen the staff interact with several other residents and I am touched by the compassion and individual attention each resident receives. As with many dementia patients, my mother can be a handful one minute and a sweetheart the next, yet the staff are well-trained and treat her with kindness and dignity at all times. I visit often and I love taking mom out to dinner, dancing and to parties. It is extremely difficult to have a parent suffer from this cruel disease, along with the realization that you cannot meet all their needs by yourself. Finding a home that feels inviting, stimulating and safe is the best you can do out of love for your parent because they deserve it. Having my mom in Brookdale, close to my home has been the answer, the relief and the best of the rest for my mom.
