Beware. They’ll bait and switch you on pricing. My father wasn’t there for more than 2 months when they increased his room and board rate by $400/mo. Communication is terrible, running a senior facility and letting non payment go on for months without a word to the actual resident or family that balance owed is accruing so you end up receiving a 15k bill. So unbelievably upset with this facility right now. $400 a month = $4,800 a year difference. It’s not a small amount, so just expect that the price you’re signing on for is totally made up and just to get you to sign and pay their non refundable community fee, then once you’re settled in they’ll come in with a rate increase

Brookdale Palma Sola is a wonderful place with a great, caring staff. I recommend Brookdale if you need a place for a loved one that needs some help.

This ALF meets the needs of my elderly mother. Due to physical limitations, this place is a good fit for my mother. Provides activities that she can participate in but not the extras she can’t use. Staff is wonderful and caring. Mgmt communicates well to family members. Medical staff is attentive to my mother’s needs. She gets the services and amenities that she needs to thrive. Only issue is the limited food choices at each meal. Most meals are good but at times she does not like what is served, so she has her own snacks, frig/microwave on those occasions. We all have different preferences!

The day my Mom and her dog moved in to Palma Sola was wonderful. For a host of reasons, Mom’s situation is complex and even while they are managing stringent COVID precautions, the welcome in was warm and supportive. When we pulled in, 2 men were doing leaf blowing in the parking lot, but when they saw my mom get out of the car, they stopped and waited until she and her dog walked around and got comfortable enough to go inside. From those gentlemen to the Wellness/Nursing Director, the Sales Director and everyone else along the way, we couldn’t be more grateful.

I can't say enough good things about Palma Sola! Diane, the ED, is an absolute treasure and genuinely cares about the residents and staff and it definitely shows. She and Cathy in the business office take the time to listen and answer any questions or concerns thoroughly. The care staff are awesome and treat the residents like family and you can feel that in the atmosphere. It's a beautiful community!
