My parents moved into Brookdale in May 2025. I searched all over town to find a place I felt would be perfect for them, and without a doubt, it was Brookdale! The staff is so loving and caring. Nikki, the new chef, is incredible. My mom loves the food. My 95-year-old dad went to heaven in early June, and the staff wrapped my mom in compassion and empathy. Lakesha, the new director, is innovative and creative and is very patient-centered. The residents appear to be very happy and content. As an RN, I looked for a facility with very critical eyes, and Brookdale has not disappointed! Gail Ewing & family

Brookdale has come some ways and still undergoing improvement as time allow. They have a new director that cares for the building and the residents and it shows. I also see new staff members who also interacts with the residents and from what I can see they light up when entering the building. When visiting I am greeted with a smile and always told to travel safe when leaving, every time. I am one who believes change is good when it's beneficial and I can't wait to see the new and improve changes that continues to come to Brookdale. And I want the staff to keep up the good work.

Very poor care. Mother waited 30 min. To 1 hour for help getting to the bathroom.I spoke with 4-5 other wheel chair residents and they all said same thing. You wait a long time for help. Mother began to decline and in 1 month price went from $4,400.00 to $13,600.00 Yes, that is NOT a typo above! Understaffed!!

Sterling House/Brookdale is so disgusting they have to change names frequently to duck responsibility. It is a horrible place and wretched management. Over promise and under delivered. My Father passed away there in 2014 after less than 2 months. I tried to sleep there every night because one morning, I found him on the floor, no staff checked since night before.Their solution was to restrain him was unacceptable! He needed a smaller bed because he was 95 lbs. He was lucid and knew the time. When the roof collapsed there, they were not getting immediate mold remediation crew there that day to protect the seniors. Sterling House/Brookdale were warned 2 years previously, by the contractor to replace the roof. They put everyone there at risk for respiratory infection due to rapid onset of mold. What's more is I reported this to the Fl State Dept of Elder Services to get the ball rolling, otherwise, it would have been a tragic and unrealistic outcome.

My mother required more assistance than I could provide following my fathers passing. My search was for the most caring, loving facility available. My research led to Brookdale Pensacola. They provided more loving care than I could possibly provide. Her care was exceptional. We knew everyone. They would update me every visit how she was doing. My mother needed assistance and they met her needs everyday. Crippling arthritis, sight impaired and hearing difficulty were her issues. Brookdale accepted her knowing the extra work involved. We are most grateful to Brookdale. The employees at Brookdale work there out of love not for the salary. Loving care was my top priority and that’s Brookdale.
