Terrible place!! My husband was in "Memory Care" in this facility, with serious dementia. I explained upfront that he was pretty non verbal, hard of hearing and couldn't follow directions and needed assistance with most daily functions. He was unsteady and used a walker to get around. Their idea of caring for him was to put him in his private room, close the door and then complain that he WOULDN'T follow instructions and was incontinent and because of this they raised his care rate several thousand dollars. He had numerous falls from lack of monitoring, two of them sending him to the emergency room. After a couple of months he was so frail that he couldn't walk at all. The shared bathroom smelled so bad that it would make you gag. His room was cleaned only once in the several months he was there. I have moved my husband to a facility that understands how to care for a dementia patient with socialization, activities, and keeping them safe! Brookdale very top heavy on administrative staff and short of nursing staff that actually cares for their residents. Their financial department is also shady. Documentation was sent to my long term care for time my husband was not in their care. It was denied but because of this the reimbursement for the time he was there was also denied. Please do not send a loved one to this facility!!

Finding a new home for a loved one that needs additional help in the aging years of their life is an emotional task. So many worries and concerns. Will they like it? Will they be safe? Will they be cared for in a nurturing and respectful manner? These were a few of the million questions I had. Then I met Joe and the staff at Brookdale and quickly my worries went away. Joe was accommodating, helpful, thoughtful, comforting and funny. He was wonderful with my mom as was her entire care team. Her apartment was beautiful and she felt at home right away. The nursing and care team at Brookdale are all so nice and gentle and patient. My mom would tell me funny stories about her visits with Joe and the staff at Brookdale. I'm so thankful for Brookdale and the excellent care they gave my mom.

I am in this facility multiple times a week. I am very impressed with the care and compassion that the staff have for their residents. There is a wonderful feel inside the building, activities and conversation. Many of our clients and patients are happy living at Brookdale Redmond. I would highly recommend it an option for your loved one.
