Brookdale Silver Lake

It takes very special people to care for individuals with dementia and their families that have to deal with it too. Brookdale Silver Lake has a great staff.

My husband moved to Brookdale Silverlake one month ago and I am astonished at the improvements in his behavior in such a short time! He had suffered a very bad fall last November and endured two hospitalizations and two long stays in rehab. He was difficult to transfer due to extreme weakness and agitation and was often combative when staff tried to administer care. He did not notice other people or try to interact with them. The wonderful nursing staff at Silverlake perceived that he may be in pain and changed his medication. Within 2 days he was a new man! His outgoing personality has returned, and it is a joy to see him interact with the other residents. His appetite is very good now, and I look forward to him regaining the 50 pounds he lost over the winter. All of the staff at Silverlake, from reception to nursing to administration, are caring and compassionate and truly seem to enjoy interacting with the residents. Also, the facility is clean and lovely, with inviting outdoor spaces for the residents to enjoy. I can highly recommend Brookdale Silverlake!

I can’t say enough about the incredible care my dad is receiving at Brookdale Silver Lake. All of the staff is deeply compassionate, attentive, and truly cares for the residents. My dad is in a late stage of decline, but due to the structure, patience, and incredible heartfelt care from his care team, he’s actually thriving in ways I didn’t think possible. He even tells me how much he likes it there, he even has made some friends with the other residents! They’ve brought much needed peace to myself and my brother during this very difficult time. I can't express how grateful we are for the care and environment, highly recommend, it's worth every penny.

Mom has been at Silver Lake Brookdale for over a year. Originally, transition was tough but with the professional kindhearted staff we all worked through. Today mom shared how extremely happy she was with all her new friends and she loves the off-site van trips, not to mention Thursday music. She is the first one up to dance. The care is excellent, the activities diverse, and personal attention reassuring that we have mom in a caring environment. Just want to give a shout out to everyone. As her family, we and MY MOM couldn’t be happier.
