BROOKDALE UPTOWN WHITTIER

My elderly mother moved in last November. The customer service and caring of the staff is amazing. I had been struggling with my mom to get her a safe place to live. I expected her to embrace the change from just living in a normal apartment community. But it happened in just three days. She’s a different person. She loves all the activities and has found friends and enjoys going on the outings. I really want to thank the incredible staff for being so kind and professional. It makes my heart feel good. If you are looking for a place for yourself or a loved one, Brookdale is more than a community, they are family. Thank you so much!

Don't come here, even for free. I have not had sheets (not even dirty ones) on my bed in days. My sleep apnea machine has not been implemented for my use in DAYS either. A really lovely place, terrible administrators.

I did a tour of this facility for a family member and the facility is warm and spacious. The inviting lobby features charming touches like a parakeet aviary and well maintained fish tank. Very friendly and inviting and i am strongly considering it as we are assessing facilities. The staff is dedicated and attentive. The residents genuinely seem happy and the facility is within walking distance to local dining, nearby parks and trail systems. The neighborhood has a welcoming vibe. Very pleased with this place!

My family member resides at Uptown Brookdale and at first the facility ran well but over the last few months the food quality served is unacceptable, they will serve cold food and combinations on the menu Spaghetti with beans? My family member has been battling cancer so she pays extra to have her dog walked but staff rarely comes to take dog out which has caused her dog to relieve herself on carpet and floors. Now the apartment smells bad and the apartment is infested with roaches. The manager has been notified yet nothing is done to resolve the issue. For the amount of money that the residents pay this is just unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this facility at all.

I love all the staff at Uptown Whittier Brookdale. My family and I have such peace of mind knowing that their staff is caring for her. Every interaction I have with staff is positive and productive. Staff goes above and beyond to make my mom as comfortable as possible. They are all very caring and always treat her with respect and kindness. I absolutely recommend anyone to consider Uptown Brookdale for your loved one.
