I will be removing my parent from this establishment. There are some very unprofessional workers here. For example, Davina the care coordinator, i witnessed her “making out” with another man in the facility near other residents present, completely inappropriate and unprofessional!!! That lady is also very rude to my father who is a resident at Brookdale. When I ask about medication changes for my father she never follows up and completely ignores the situation and just sits on her butt. Horrible..

On a scale from 1-10 Davina Chavez is a 10 she went out of her way to make sure my grandma was well taken care of with her kind words, hard work and dedication.

Brookdale Yakima has some kind employees, but at an administrative level they lack important communication and organization skills. There were multiple incidents where the nurse said she would follow through with lab work/testing for my father and then did not. He signed up to have incontinence products delivered, which the staff were supposed to monitor and order, but they failed to follow through so we had to go back to supplying them ourselves (and deal with the discomfort of him running out). Once my dad fell down and needed a band aid; the staff could not find any bandages and had to run downstairs to the office for them as we held a washcloth to his knee. In the end, we moved him to a different facility (not affiliated with Brookdale) but there was no discharge process. It has been almost 2 months since he moved and we have still not received any paperwork. I do not recommend this facility. PS: I was just looking at other Google reviews of Brookdale and dislike the fact that a number of them are posted by current employees to boost their ratings.
