Brookstone Haven

I recently called this facility to get information, and unfortunately the first person I spoke with was extremely rude. They didn’t try to help me with my questions or provide any guidance, which left me very disappointed. Based on this interaction, I would not feel comfortable bringing my people here to live. Respect and courtesy should be a priority, especially in a care setting, and that was not what I experienced.

Brookstone Haven is awesome. Most important is that Penny, the director, and all of the staff are caring and compassionate. When problems arise, there is always someone to help solve them. My son calls me every day and tells me how grateful he is to be living there. He frequently asks to be reassured that he will be able to stay for the rest of his life.

My brother has lived at this facility for ten years. They are now part of his family and ours. I am a nurse and have a caregiver who takes my brother out weekly. Together, we recognize the care and concern the staff offers my brother. He has significant health issues. His primary MD states without my brother being in a place where he gets medication and monitoring regularly as well as socialization, he is not sure my brother would be thriving. The director and staff have always been attentive to any need expressed.

So far this place has been great for my brother. Very kind , and loving. Very helpful. No place is perfect, of course but I have been quite pleased and my brother is happy.

Stay away from this place. Will not administer proper care to their patients. Even neglect to give toothbrushes, when employees bring light to welfare of patients they are then put in trouble and allowed not to speak on it again. Do better. Will be contacting BBB. If this review is deleted I will be following up with a law suit. Nice try 😉 Freedom of speech.
