Edit from original review: My 96 year old grandmother originally enjoyed her time at the Meadows. It seemed like a solid 18 months but wow did things turn bad there. Unfortunately, while we were looking and touring new assisted living facilities in Brownsburg/Avon area, she passed away (at my mom's surrounded by family). First, the nursing staff and CNAs on multiple occasions were rude to her (my wife, mother in law, mom, dad, and I witnessed it). When she needed the nurse practitioner to come to the facility, on multiple occasions she never came and saw my grandmother or even came to the facility. We were originally told twice a week but found she was only coming once or not at all if not enough people were on the "list" to make it worth the drive. So if my grandmother needed a prescription or needed to be seen and the NP didn't come that given week, she was having to wait multiple weeks. We were regularly picking her up to bring her to urgent care at 95/96 years old. This defeated the main purpose of having her at an assisted living facility. When she had a stroke at the Meadows, we couldn't get a nurse to come to her room immediately. There was no urgency for the nursing staff to come down to her. The inconsistency with the nursing staff was unreal - one CNA would help with certain things, and the next wouldn't. Once they began managing her medications, my wife watched the nursing staff hand her the cup of pills and walk away, which defeated the purpose of them managing the medications (one was a very small heart pill that my grandmother couldn't see well) We were so upset with the nursing staff that we requested a meeting with the head nurse and it was obvious that she felt we were wasting her time. There was so sense of care and to her, everything we were saying was a non-issue. We had also tried contacting by leaving messages and calling the nursing staff line but would wait days if not weeks to get a response. Next, my grandmother had horrible arthritis in her shoulders to the point she lost most mobility and over the last year began to lose some of her teeth. She had several friends on the staff that would help cut her meat for her but this suddenly became an issue after 2 YEARS and they were no longer allowed to cut her food. We found out she was basically eating cottage cheese and apple sauce. We asked management about it and they said they weren't allowed to help her per the "contract" but told us there were non-meat options for her. After reviewing the menu, there was maybe 1 day of the entire month that had something she could eat. The other facilities we toured and asked about this and all of them said of course they would help. This was a huge issue for us. Next, we could almost never get a straight answer about level of care, policies, and contracts with nursing staff or kitchen. If you want to get the run-around, this is the place to go. When she was completely independent, things seemed great. As soon as she needed an increased "level of care," it became an inconvenience. Lastly, when my grandmother moved into the meadows there were a few stains on the carpet, but we didn't think anything of it. Over the last 2 years, we visited my grandmother multiple times a week and never thought her carpet looked bad. Over the last few months, she did begin to have accidents but it was nothing that my wife and mother in law couldn't get out with some shampoo or spot-shot. Her room looked fine when we moved all of her things out but now we are being told we are not getting her entire $1500 deposit because they need to replace her carpet. Finally, I do want to acknowledge that there are some amazing staff and workers at the Meadows. These are people who loved and cared for my grandmother and were the type of people who were heartbroken they could no longer help cut her food. They were devasted when she passed because she was truly a bright light and I thank all of them for everything they did the 2 years she was there.

Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living is a beautiful community located in the heart of Brownsburg. They have several different options from Garden Homes to Assisted Living & Memory Care. I've eaten lunch here with my grandfather and their food is delicious. Highly recommend!

Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living is definitely home. It has some of the most caring and attentive staff. Everyone welcomes you with a "how are you" and "welcome to our community". The food quality is out of this world, the culinary staff really care about your experience with them. You couldn't ask for a better place to live in Hendricks county.
