Facility has gone down hill since the "new" Administrator started. The residents are not cared for by her new staff she brought with her.one of the staff members she brought with her MEGAN constantly smells like alcohol & went outside at least 12 to 13 times in my 1hour visit leaving her residents neglected. She treats the original staff like complete garbage. They have been with that facility for many years. We are relocating my uncle over this disgusting situation. She is refusing to supply linens etc... building is disgusting & dirty. Never has clean laundry. he has been sleeping on plastic for several weeks. They need to replace Donna she is completely intolerable, disrespectful & unprofessional & incapable of running a facility to say the least. They need to bring Mrs. Jackie back. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE.

Terrible place!!!!!. Refused to tell me when mom went hospital, had surgery, was sent to rehab center following a serious fall. Refused to tell me WHERE she was taken, no hospital name, no rehab center name. When she could not breathe, they Did not notify me she was taken to hospital. They did not notify me when mom died or that she was unable to breathe when she left their care!!! My mom died ALONE because of them! Had a Stipulated Protective Order signed by a Judge And they would not abide by that order to include me in my mom’s major medical decisions and placement and flat out refused to tell me her medical conditions. I called multiple times when she was “not feeling well” and they refused to let me talk to her and refused to tell me what was wrong with her. She died the next day.

When I showed up to visit, my mom, staff told me she was taken to the hospital after a fall. But they refused to tell me where she was taken or anything about her current status. I asked to speak to the manager and she threatened to call the police if I did not leave the building!!! She refused to tell me where my mom was too!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! My brother put her in this disgusting place without my knowledge, and even after I provided Forestview with a court order showing I was entitled to know about my mom's healthcare and obviously her whereabouts they still refused to comply. Her room was disgustingly dirty. We found all kinds of debris on the sink in the bathroom on the floors on the walls. Her bedding and her clothes were soiled when we came to visit her. We had to tell the staff they needed to clean her up on more than one occasion, and to clean her room up on every occasion. She fell multiple times at this facility and their solution was to put her in a wheelchair bound room, and when she was in there to remove her walker. So she fell in her own room and smashed her head and broke her hip because she had no way to get to the bathroom and nobody was answering her calls to help her. This place needs to be investigated by the state of Michigan and closed. They do not care about their residents!!! They treat them like they're not even human!!! Within a year of her fall, she had passed away from being wheelchair, bound for the rest of her life. The large contusion on her head remained for the rest of her life from that fall.

My father was at Forest View for a year, until his condition worsened and he was transferred to a nursing home/hospice passed away. It is a great place if you need -assisted- living, not nursing care. It was a great place for activities, clean rooms and social interaction for my senior father whose world was closing in with dementia. Once he needed a higher level of care, the staffing levels were not sufficient for what he needed. Otherwise, the staff was compassionate and caring to both my father and mother, who visited almost every day. She developed some valuable friendships with the staff in all areas -- housekeeping, kitchen, and nursing, as well as other residents who provided emotional support as they completed his end-of-life journey. I am so grateful that we found Forest View -- it was just the right fit and the right time in his life. God Bless all of the staff who work above and beyond for the residents.

Forest View has been absolutely fantastic. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the employees are very nice and caring. We evaluated many nursing homes and found that Diane at Forest View was the most responsive, attentive, compassionate and caring individual to work with. She quickly set us at ease during the very difficult and emotional time with my mother. This is the best place in the area from a price, quality of care, and human touch perspective. Highly recommended.
