CANTERFIELD OF BLUFFTON

Maybe this place is good for senior citizens with their mental faculties in tact but the memory care wing is terrible. My father has been there only 5 months. He has dementia and he’s not dying of that. He’s dying of neglect. He’s lost 60lbs, has a UTI constantly, walks around with a mess in his pants, they won’t brush his teeth so they’re infected. He’s managed to escape once or twice because they aren’t even watching. Think twice before you put your loved one here. The place is also incredibly run down but that’s the least of it. I can only assume all these positive reviews are fake or they’re from family members who abandoned their loved one there.

Canterfield of Bluffton was truly a blessing for our family. After my mom passed away in Ohio, my dad decided to sell the family home and move into one of Canterfield’s Independent Living Villas. Having him nearby brought such comfort to my sister and me, and he truly thrived in his new home. He often told everyone how much he loved “living large” in his spacious villa—with its open layout and attached garage, it felt like the perfect fit for him. If you're searching for a community for your loved one—whether for independent living, assisted living, or memory care—I wholeheartedly recommend Canterfield. The care, comfort, and sense of dignity they provided meant everything to me. My dad passed away this March, and we miss him dearly. But we are so grateful that he was able to live in such a warm, supportive, and beautiful place. We truly couldn't have found a better home for him.

Choosing Canterfield of Bluffton for my granddad was one of the best decisions we’ve made. The staff is exceptional, always treating residents with dignity and respect. The meals are delicious, and the activities keep him active and social. We love visiting because the environment is so warm and welcoming. Knowing he’s in such good hands gives our family incredible peace of mind.
