When you tour Heritage they tell you a lot of nice things that don't happen. Once we put my mother in there everything changed. I had to find someone to clean her room and empty her trash cans. You can always go to the dining room and find several staff on their phones. Things are a little better now that I let them know that they were going to do the things they promise.

While this is a beautiful facility and the staff are dedicated, there is a lot of misrepresentation in tours to market the place to you. The van (parked like a marketing device) has not worked for 1.5 years so residents are not taken to the local library or community center. The spa has not worked for a long time. The med passing ( meaning medications are given to resident by staff) is done by only half reliable staff. Cindy and Emily are fantastic, but other staff don’t pay careful enough attention. No one is going to die but it has to be closely monitored to make sure it’s right. For example, if a pill runs out, staff do not appear to question it or address med changes or notify anyone or send in refill requests, even though it is part of their job. Housekeeping is supposed to be each week but weeks are often skipped. Shower assist is supposed to be included in the flat rate but staff will tell you it costs more. It is not clear who to talk to. If you tell a morning staff something, afternoon staff are not informed. Some kind of written communication system would be helpful to ensure messages are passed a long. They could use more staff, but like many assisted living residential places, they are understaffed due to vacancies and turnover and slow refilling of job vacancies.

Joe did a marvelous job of introducing us to not only the financial and caregiving realities of Heritage Assisted Living but also to the lovely philosophy of communities and vast array of activities. The people we met were lively and friendly and said they appreciated living there. This is a review based on a tour not actually living there yet AND Joe does not work at this site anymore. Food is not anything like the photos on website. It is more basic and repetitive. It would be nice if fresh fruit were available to residents between meals.

I have been here for a few weeks, staff are great! Residents are fun! Everyone here is very helpful and they offer a lot of activities. I would highly recommend this for anyone who’s looking for a good place to live that needs assisted living! My health has improved and I am very happy with being here! from -brad schroeder

My sister and I met with Kate and took a tour of the heritage. It is a beautiful place. Kate was very knowledgeable. A lot of activities going on. I know this would be a great place for our brother. Everybody we seen was extremely nice.
