I decided to move my sister to Caring Alternatives in Muskego 6 months ago because I wasn't happy with the care or management where she was living. (A very large, expensive community). I can honestly say it was the best decision I could have made for her. Jo walked me thru all of the admission paperwork and it went so smoothly. The level of communication and attention is something I wasn't used to. The caregivers are all incredible and they know how to handle things when my sister gets a little sassy. I can call late at night to see how her bedtime went and it doesn't matter who answers the phone, they ALWAYS take time to talk to me. I was extremely nervous and anxious on move in day, I wanted my sister to be ok with her new place but knew that it could go badly....because dimentia. To say Brenda was incredible with my sister on her first day would be an understatement. I could not belive how well things went. She has a way with residents, she treats them with respect and she made my sister feel so comfortable, it was like she had lived there forever. Im SO thankful for her and everyone else that cares for my loved one.

Unapproachable staff who hardly care about serving their residents. They lie on others constantly. Think outside agencies are to do their entire job description when assisting. Employees do not follow care plans-esp proper transfers; and will get upset and tell on others who actually do. Simply because that means they may have to do “more work”. Do not send your loved one here.

Mom was a resident at CAM for a year and a half. Brenda and her staff took excellent care of her during her time there. Mom was admitted from another assisted living facility, on hospice care, with ulcers on her legs. It is because of the excellent care she received from staff at CAM that the ulcers were healed in the first 2 months of her residency. During the last week of Mom’s life the staff was compassionate and caring. Brenda, Tiffany and nurses and LPNs were kind enough to come in after hours and on their days off to check on Mom and us. I am impressed by the low staff turnover. Nurses and LPNs really got to know Mom and were dedicated to her care. Staff genuinely cares for residents and are responsive to family requests and inquiries.

Brenda and her staff do a excellent job with my mother who is hard to deal with. Brenda and Tiffany call and follow up after hours and are always available. The nurses, lpn's and aids are top notch and actually stay working there. My mom has been there 2 years nows and the staff is consistent! I feel they care about ths residents and the families they help!

Went into tour facility for a loved one. Not even into facility and was rudely greeted because we didn't have a mask on (remind you - not yet into facility). I pointed to the empty tray that was set up in the walk way entrance and said there were none and we needed one. The woman then replied, "well don't you have one?" To which we honestly didn't and we were sequestered to stay in place until they could find one. We have toured other facilities that day unannounced, and were never treated like this. Most facilities had a bin of masks and a thermometer. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. What a horrible experience!!
