CARLTON PLAZA OF ELK GROVE

Beautiful senior living community with wonderful staff and service.

My grandmother lived at Carlton for just over four years, at first living fairly independently and eventually needing the support of Memory Care. I visited often and was consistently impressed with the care my grandma received. The staff here truly seem to care about the residents. They have fun activities all the time, from field trips to crafts to movie nights to cooking demonstrations. The food is great, too. Grandma used to say it was like taking a cruise without the ocean. Toward the end of grandma’s life, her health was failing and the staff worked so hard encouraging her, bringing her meals to her room, bringing her to join in activities she could do, monitoring her health around the clock, etc. We couldn’t have asked for a better team than Memory Care these past few months. I know Grandma was happy and well cared for during her time at Carlton. It isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for! I recommend Carlton to any senior citizen looking for a safe, beautiful, and fun place to live.

I met the team at a resource fair way back and enjoyed the resources and conversation. Ms. Dixon knows her stuff and was quite charming.

My sister was at Carlton plaza Carlton Plaza Elk Grove for just under a year. From the beginning the staff seemed to bend over backwards to help her, including moving her twice until she was in a unit that suited her needs and the needs of her dog. All the staffers she interacted with were not only always cheerful, providing the care she needed with a smile, but they often so obviously really cared about her.  The only difficulties came when she became completely dependent on staff to transfer her because someone was not always available to assist immediately on some occasions. When my sister passed away, we had the memorial service there. It was lovely. Staff did a great job setting up for us. We used the on-site catering which was great. We choose four different appetizers to be served. Everything looked great and was beautifully served.  The portions were generous and everyone really enjoyed everything.

One of the best things about Carlton Senior Living in Elk Grove is the individuals that live here. My best friend’s mom who is just like my own mother...... She is an elderly lady who has been a resident of Carlton Senior Living of Elk Grove since 2013 and I have nothing negative to say about this facility. The community is very clean and very up to date the housekeeping staff was very professional presentable. We had bought a TV stand for my friend’s mom that we were having difficulty putting today and asked for help from one of the maintenance staff, he was very professional, helpful and attentive. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a retirement place.
