CARLTON PLAZA OF FREMONT

My father-in-law, Bob, lived at the Carlton over 4 years (Sept 2021-Dec 2025). He was 92 when he moved in and was 96 when he passed away. He was mostly independent and mobile for the first 3+ years. He went down to the dining room for meals and enjoyed going to the cafe for snacks. He enjoyed hanging out in the living areas and chatting with other residents. Sadly, Bob did not take advantage of the many activities offered. However, he made extensive use of the shuttle to Kaiser. The shuttle was a life savior to him and also my husband and I. The facility is kept very tidy, clean and pleasant. Bob fell on May 31, 2025 and went on hospice. He was 100% bedbound from June 2 - Dec. 29th. The staff took excellent care of him. They changed his diapers and kept him clean. They watched for bed sores. They took extra care and treated the two very small, minor pressure sores before they became an issue. The food service staff took extra care to send his favorite foods to his room. I was Bob primary family contact. The Carlton Staff was extremely kind and supportive to me and our family. We are grateful to the compassionate team at Carlton Senior Living Community, where Bob was cared for with kindness and dignity. Each day, a dedicated group of caregivers and staff made his life brighter and more comfortable. To all the members of the Carlton Senior Living Community who made a meaningful difference in Bob's life, our family will always remember their dedication and kindness with deep gratitude.

Carlton is a wonderful facility with a beautiful and large courtyard with fountains and seats and various plants. It is attractive and useful for relaxing and for seniors to exercise. One of the most important advantages of Carlton is the wonderful community that exists there. The staff is super friendly, and the people that live there are quite friendly. It’s truly a community in the sense that the staff knows your name frequently, the people know your name, and there’s no big differentiation between staff and residents. This is very rare and wonderful.

It has been over a year that my father has been living at Carlton Senior Living in Fremont and his experience has been incredibly positive. The genuine care, personalized attention, and vibrant community atmosphere truly sets it apart. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking a nurturing and supportive environment for loved ones. One of the aspects that has impressed me the most has been the level of personalized attention given to residents. The staff has taken the time to get to know the residents on a personal level, understanding their unique needs, preferences, and interests. The facility itself is well maintained and provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. My father loves the courtyard area which is so peaceful and is a place where he can relax and enjoy the sunshine. He has benefitted from various activities such as exercise classes, scheduled events/outings, and increased social interaction. His Caregivers are responsive, caring, and empathetic. Our family has been impressed with Carlton Senior Living, and you should consider this facility for your loved one!

Visited my grandpa on Cinco De Mayo and Carlton had such an awesome day planned out for the residents. We got to watch the chefs make a 15 ft burrito which was very tasty. Then after we got to see a mariachi band play while we had margaritas. I'm so glad my parents went with Carlton, now we can enjoy the fun when visiting my grandpa. This place really feels like home, our family fits right in.

Carlton Fremont is very clean with friendly professional staff I'm glad that we picked this community for my dad since he has been trying to get a home. Mae their resident liaison was really knowledgeable and friendly which made the move easier than the other places that we've been too. I will suggest to move in here it will be the most happiest place for seniors. Thanks Carlton for taking care of my Dad. Meg knows how to run a place with complete care.
