Carmel Senior Living

We are so grateful to have found Independence Village of Carmel. We started our research online for a community that would meet my mom’s present and future living needs. We whittled down our search to six communities, based on locality and the initial contacts within our searching. From there my husband and I made appointments to tour and interview all six to be able to further narrow our search to give mom the best options for her to visit and choose the place she would call home. From our first contact with the Community Specialist, Meghan, to mom choosing Independence Village and moving in, we, especially mom, could not be happier. Upon our first meeting with Meghan, we came loaded with questions, and more questions. She happily and graciously answered them all. She gave us a detailed tour of the community. In our minds, we felt this might be the place mom would really feel happy and most at home with but we were struggling to make this decision for and with mom. Meghan was great, so understanding of our situation. She gave us the time, guidance we needed; always able to field all our questions and if she didn’t have the answer she promptly found out and let us know. After that we set an appointment for mom to visit. The warm and inviting first impressions for mom set the ball rolling on finding her new home. Mom wound up having a couple health setbacks that brought the need to get her into her new home sooner than later and Meghan was there to walk through the details. Mom has found the staff to be so kind and helpful. The residents seem very happy. Sure, no place is perfect but if there’s an issue they seem to tackle it head on. I keep saying, it runs like a well oiled ship. Once in a while things need tweaked, adjusted or fixed. So far, that is how it seems Independence Village of Carmel runs because they care and it shows. One thing that helped us settle the decision of ‘where’ is the CorsoCare home health care that they have right on site which has allowed her to stay in independent living with a little extra help from the care team. This is something no one else that we spoke with is offering at this present time. This is a game changer for your loved one in similar situations. If you don’t need help right now, there will come a day when you do and it is right there on site. If you’re basically home bound there is My Mobile MD that is wonderful to be able to have as your primary care that is IN the building weekly and very accessible should a need arise before your scheduled in room primary appts. These are the big highlights and the list could go on. The important things are: it’s a warm and inviting atmosphere. Residents are happy. There is lots to offer the residents; activities and such. Things are kept clean. I know they have been upgrading rooms which shows they care about keeping up with the future needs that come along. So, get educated for your loved ones. Do your research, come with questions, interview and experience the home your loved one will be in so they can be confident in their choice. I would just suggest that you put Independence Village in that search and compare. I think, you’ll find what we did…a good home for my mom where she is happy, making new friends and enjoying…LIVING!

A lovely community. Creative and innovative way of meeting residents where they are on their journey in the memory care neighborhood. Strong staff relationships with residents and families. Highly recommend!

I perform my magic and mind reading act for over 100 retirement communities a year and I must say Independence Village of Carmel is one of the very best. Each year I always try to get at least two shows with them. I would do more shows with them if I could! They are a beautiful community with a fantastic staff and super friendly residents. Each time I enter the community I am always welcomed with friendly smiles from the receptionist, office workers, and residents. The staff always has my performance area ready to go and always meet my specifications to have a perfect show. I would recommend this community to anybody looking for a luxurious living experience. I look forward to returning very soon!

When we first visited Carmel Senior Living, the Director met with us and gave us a tour even though we did not have an appointment. Her interest in providing us with the information needed to make a decision was genuine and compassionate. There was no pressure or sales pitch. When we moved our loved one in, the staff almost immediately knew his name and made efforts to make sure that table mates were available for meals. Our loved one is very happy, thinks the food is excellent and has made many friends, which we never expected. Cheers to the staff for caring so much!
