Carriage Hill Retirement

My Dad was at Carriage Hill memory care for a little over a month until he recently just past. Where the overall facility, I felt could have been kept a little more clean, I was very impressed with his care. I Especially was extremely impressed with his CNA , Katilin Rose. She was fabulous with my Dad. She basically worked almost ever single day. She would play games with him, she would send me pictures of him almost daily. She helped to feed when he needed help…. I could go on and on. She always would make sure My Mom and I were able to facetime him & say goodnight every evening when she was there. We have kept in touch since his passing. I also have to shout out Tenecia Jenelle, she was his Med tech nurse. She was wonderful with my Dad as well. We had several conversations about my Dad and I genuinely could tell how much she cared about him. I appreciate those 2 young ladies so much during his short time there. My Mom and I visited every day that I did not work. We got to learn some of the other residents. Most all of the residents are able to walk or move around in a wheelchair, dress themselves etc. My Dad was pretty much bed ridden. The staff interacted very well with residents, very patient, playing games with them etc. Over all experience was good.

Carriage hill is a wonderful place for your loved ones.The staff is perfect, housekeeping. Maintenance kitchen and management. And nursing.And the activity director A very safe , loving environment for your loved ones

Don't let them lie to you . The food is really bad . 99% of the nurses are great . They took our microwaves ,or should I say alot of people's microwave but not all . Why are some special ? I have only been here since the end of Sept . And I am already ready to run . I have no where else to go . But they that all my social security check so I am stuck here I was better off where I was at least I ate better where I was with what I had . We need help here from someone who just be put off .

Carriage Hill Retirement is a beautiful place. The residents there seems so very happy and feel at home. It is a very clean facility and the staff are very friendly. Especially Katilin Coles, I've seen her work with residents and the love and compassion that she has for them is amazing. She's a very hard worker and loves what she does.

Carriage Hill Retirement Community has so much to love! A beautiful gem nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Bedford, Virginia! You can even see the Peaks of Otter from our Lovely facility! We have a wonderful NEW Administrator, Edwin, who is making life here better every day! He is professional, kind and compassionate, an excellent Leader to his hand-chosen excellent staff! The beautiful living space and great care makes staying at Carriage Hill a good choice.
