CARRINGTON AT CHERRY CREEK

My experience with Cherry Creek has been wonderful. The resident director Jake has been a blessing to our family and has been so caring with us. He helped my father-in-law get moved in and made him feel right at home. We will forever be grateful to Jake and his staff at Cherry Creek for helping us. This is a fantastic facility and i cannot recommend this place enough.

Be careful and double/triple check information they give you over the phone. It's apparently not uncommon for them to tell you a particular resident is ready and waiting to be picked up for a doctor appointment, when in reality that is not the case at all. I complained to the operator who was very defensive and said this happens all the time. She expressed no concern at all and got even more defensive when I asked her name. She refused to identify herself. I called back and asked for the manager and it was the same girl who had given the wrong information. She admitted that she didn't actually check if the resident was there, she just guessed!!! When I finally talked to Jake (Director) he felt it was a non-issue since the resident had cancelled their appointment. He did not feel the employees were in the wrong for guessing at the status of a resident. So if you need information over the phone you may want to call several times and hope you get an employee who actually cares (someone other than the manager/director) about truth.

The apartment is nice w/ a big slideN glass door 2 the outside on the S. side of the room provideN great light 2 draw, write, grow houseplants & walk 2 QT 4 a late pop or ice cream sandwich. The food is really good, there R many old hipsters that listen 2 the music from 1955- present & they R generally a pretty happy go lucky bunch, many animal lovers & bingo, residents counsel meetN's & laundry too. They've been nice 2 me & my goal wuz 2 gain weight at 103-5#. I weighed 98.5# 2day! Bravo. Others have been tryN 2 get me close 2 that 100# mark 4 years! At 58.5" no more than 105#. & I do get hungry 4 my own cookN, & the kitchenette is good on those days I feel like some of my own fantastic cookN. My 1st boyfriend once told me that I may B a pill sometimes, but no body's ever gonna leave me Bcuz I can't cook. I do crave my own cookN but it's nice not 2 HAVE 2 cook everyday.

Don’t put your loved ones in this place. It’s full of liars and thieves. Went back to get my dads stuff, and people broke in and stole everything. Management refuses to take accountability. I would rate 0 stars if I could. Also has roaches and bedbugs. Nasty!!!

If it were possible to give this place zero stars I would. My mother was staying here for less than a year, and in that time she wasn't fed per her diet, wasn't checked on as she was supposed to be by the staff, and worst of all, was left on the floor FOR 3 DAYS before someone checked on her. This is neglect, plain and simple. If you want your loved ones to be taken care of, they would be better off at a homeless shelter than this place.
