If ZERO STARS were an option, that is exactly what I would give this horrible place. The lack of care is astonishing. My sister has been here for 2 years and her health as declined to where she is now in the hospital fighting for her life. When I went to the ER to see her the ER doctors told me that she had bruises down her entire torso, shoulder, face and foot. Turns out her finger and 2 toes were broken. Ginger sent her to the hospital for the cause "having a hard time breathing". Nothing about falling. So the next day I stop by to talk to someone to see if she fell and no one would help me. They left me sitting in the hall way giving me excuses as to why Ginger couldn't come talk to me. I ended up speaking to a friend of my sisters and he confirmed that he was the one that found her on the floor in the corner of her room with a bloody nose and blood coming from her mouth. I end up walking out to get back to the hospital to let the doctors know what I had found out. 30-days later my sister is still in the hospital and I am trying to get information to have her moved and the same thing happens. Ginger avoids all contact and the female that answers the phones is her wingman. Ginger has absolutely no business in this field of work. The CNA's and LVN do not care about the residents here. My sister would get her meds given to her 2 times a day. If she was sleeping they would just put them on her nightstand in cups. Never made sure she took them and with her memory not being as sharp as it was when she first moved in she would take both cups at one time ending up in the hospital over and over with low blood pressure. We also found mice droppings and roaches in her room. When we contacted Ginger via phone and email we never received a response nor did they ever address the issue. They are supposed to wash the residents clothes, and bath them. We noticed that her dirty clothes hamper was full and her dresser was empty and she hadn't been given a bath in over a week. We bathed her and took her clothes home to wash and we found a mouse in with her clothes. We put the mouse in a baggie and showed Ginger still nothing was addressed. Long story short, please take my advise, and do not put your loved one here.

. The place is keep clean and smelling good but sometimes there can be a odor, cause this is a senior home and some people have accidents. The staff are friendly and give the best care they can give. In my opinion they treat the clients as they would if they were their parents. I would recommend this place for your loved one. Not based on the outside of the building but for the care and love they provide.

I am very optimistic about my precious husband Chuck, receiving excellent care at the Carson Senior Assisted Living. Joe Goldman, the director and his assistant Maria, are genuine and very kind. They have worked with us for a long time now to get Chuck a room. Carson Senior Assisted Living is also a community for retirees as well as those who need assistance. This facility specializes with patients who have a diagnosis of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Carson Senior Assisted Living is unique in that as more care is needed for a resident, assistance with bathing for example, among with other kinds of assistance, the cost caps off, if I remember correctly at $4,500 per month. Many facilities add on additional care fees until it becomes far too expensive. In my searches, some places can easily cost $18,000 per month and more. My husband is a retired probation officer and his pension and social security checks will be all that he can afford ultimately for his care into the future. Carson Senior Assisted Living has an activities director, Gina, I believe her name is, who does a terrific job helping everyone stay involved and having fun. They also publish a fantastic fancy colorful monthly newsletter featuring a lot of activities including exercise and the monthly meal menu. They also provide residents with Monday through Friday medical runs. A lot of careful planning for daily activities and genuine care for the residents at Carson Senior Assisted Living is the feeling that we came away with after having met Joe Goldman and others. Chuck will move in next month, April. The building itself is older...and realistically on Chuck's budget, we feel blessed to have found this place. We found Carson Senior Assisted Living through "A Place For Mom." I highly recommend reaching out to this organization in your search efforts.

This place is an ungodly dump!!! It is old, not upgraded, furniture is old, smells like urine when you open the door, only bathes the patients once a week if they are lucky though they say they are bathed 3 times a week, and has a serious infestation of bed bugs!! My mother has the rash on her body to prove it!! I noticed she would always be itching her back, stomach and side, but didn't know why until a routine visit to the doctor revealed an ungodly, vicious attack of bed bugs that sucked the blood out of her!!! It took 3 weeks of antibiotics and a topical ointment to rid my mother of the bed bug infestation!! Stay clear of this place at all cost, because the management could care less about the patients "decent living arrangements"!!! Formal complaints have been filed with the L.A. County Community Licensing Commission, who will hopefully be closing this place down!!! The rating for this place should be negative "-0"!!!!!
