We moved my Aunt into Carteret Landing on April 28, 2025, and paid the $2,500 community fee at that time. Regrettably, shortly after arrival, it became clear that the facility was unable to meet her diabetic care needs—a condition she had prior to admission. As a result, she was asked to leave the community, and departed on July 25, 2025. During this period, she was hospitalized from July 5 until her belongings were removed from the facility on July 25. While I acknowledge that the community fee is typically non-refundable, the fact remains that she was asked to vacate due to a medical condition existing at admission—circumstances that were beyond our control and hindered the intended duration and quality of her stay. Given this situation, and that her actual residency totaled just under three months, I respectfully requested a partial refund of the community fee paid. I believe this request was reasonable, considering that she did not receive the full duration of care and residency that was envisioned, nor could the facility accommodate her essential medical needs. Unfortunately, not only did they return any of the $2500, they did not respond to the request.

Mom says she loves the people here and they have all been heroes during Covid. Santa even came to her room Christmas morning! The people here are just amazing.

Lin and Ryan are great people, as were everyone else we've met. You can tell this is not just a vocation but an avocation. We have a family friend who loves the assisted living side and the memory care unit was a great fit for Mom. The facility is beautiful and the location is super convenient.
