CASA CARMEL

This is a great “55+” community. Organic gardens, well kept property, 2 miles up Carmel River and just on south side of Carmel Valley Road across small river bridge as entrance to private residential community of 30 single story units in clusters of five. Would not seem like there are that many units. Encircled by a 1 mile berm safely well above the flood plain keeping the highest of waters out. Upstream are Carmel Meadows and Quail Golf Course. Downstream is Palo Corona Park. Bordered on the north by Carmel River, and the south by The Preserve,the beginning of the Los Padres National Forest. No development to encroach upon this small intimate community.

My friend lives here so l drove to Carmel Valley to visit her for her special birthday. Fortunately, they were having a “Patio Garden Tour” on Saturday and we visited almost each garden.
