CASA SAN LORENZO

Our HOA operates with an intensity and rigidity that often feels more like a miniature authoritarian regime than a community organization. Rules are enforced inconsistently and with an unusually heavy hand, making residents feel monitored rather than supported. Leadership, particularly at the top, seems more focused on exercising control than solving real neighborhood issues. The overall atmosphere is unnecessarily adversarial, and it’s clear that a change in approach — and attitude — would greatly benefit everyone here. I can’t be sure, but the vice president’s behavior suggests a need to project more authority than the role requires, probably do to a physical abnormality.

Driving around SLZ and observing, I wouldn't even think that it was part of a HOA. Many homes have a giant over grown tree in their front yard that looks hazardous with the overhead power lines.

DO NOT BUY A HOUSE HERE. The HOA is nothing short of pathetic, god forbid you fix your house or do anything. Have a question you'd like to ask them? tough break they never pick up the phone. Think writing an email might work? Too bad! they'll never respond. None of this adds up seeing as they have one to three people in the office between the hours of stupid and inconvenient on any given day. If you go into the office the front desk person most likely can't help you or will tell you that they'll call or email you, what do they actually do you may ask. As far as I can tell, sitting there and looking stupid was the whole job description. HOAs aren't always horrible but San Lorenzo Village Homes Association is, you have a better chance of winning the lottery then you would getting them to do the bare minimum.

The Hoa is a great place. They put on a Halloween Parade and carnival every year for the community.

It was a great Tour and very informative. It was great to see our Congressman Eric Swalwell and Supervisor Nate Miley supporting This Iconic Theater.
