For over two years, our family had the privilege of calling the Casco Inn ‘home ‘for my dear mom. It was a haven of comfort and care, where every corner seemed infused with warmth and compassion. The staff and other residents treated my mom like she was part of their own family, showering her with not just exceptional care but also genuine affection. It meant the world to us when external caregivers and hospice services echoed our sentiments about this facility. Over and over visiting hospice nurses, doctors, chaplains, etc. spoke about how it is by far the best in the area. If they had to be placed somewhere, this is where they would choose. Was everything perfect? Not always. Just like with many businesses, we sometimes had to ask for follow up or wait to hear back. Any hiccups I would attribute to employees that are very busy. This facility may not have had all the fancy amenities, but that was part of its charm. It felt like stepping into a cozy home rather than a clinical institution. The décor was inviting, the atmosphere was nurturing, and the communal spaces encouraged friendships and shared experiences among residents. I am filled with gratitude for the love and care my mom received. This facility became her sanctuary, a place where she felt safe and cherished. I can wholeheartedly say that this place is more than just a facility; it's a place of profound human connection and compassion. For anyone seeking a home where their loved one will be cared for with love and dignity, I cannot recommend this facility highly enough.

I just got my mom out of there today. There is no air conditioning, no nurses on duty, and the food is horrible. They only let you shower once a week unless someone like me calls to complain about it. A question about billing with the "owner", escalated into a heated argument which included me being called every name in the book, including a mother f'er. I was told to "bring it on" when I told her she would be reported to the state. Then I was told to come and pick up my 86 year old mother asap because they were "done" with us. And asked "how soon can you get here?" When I got there, they had already packed her belongings and my mom was sitting there waiting for me. We were told my mom's insurance would cover her stay, she would give up all of her own money except for $70/month. This morning she received a bill for $12,163.50 for being there just under 3 months. Be very careful with these people. Smiling faces to get you in the door. There's a reason they always have beds available. The staff seems very nice, the owner and manager I can't say the same for.
