I have visited my husband every other day since he has been there. This place needs more help and they definitely need to pay their workers more than 11 dollars a hour. The worker that are there are great, but they do more than one job. There is a big turnover there. Every time I go there there are new people. If workers are getting paid for their work, they will stay. These workers are taking care of our love one. People working need to get paid a fair pay. I have seen office workers help serve food. I have seen one patient pushing another patient in a wheelchair . No worker in sight. One person in the dinning room with 7 or 8 patients trying to feed two patients at a time. Really please do better

If I had time I would share a lot of unusual things. When my mom went in I a $1500 community fee plus close to $4000 for the month. She went in the first week of Oct 2022 and was there 4 days before sending to Authora Hospice. She died 10/15. I left a phone message regarding refund that I should be due, no response so then emailed a message (paper trail) still no response. The next step 😂 TBD

Despite the kindness staff I expressed to the staff to encourage them to be kind to my mother, she was scared and belittled, food was taken from her if she did to eat... she remained confused on what to do and they belittled her...she never had her own clothes on, she continually had scabies despite treatment...and one of her causes of death was mersa...The staff did not communicate at ALL as far as her finances were concerned..we were self pay patients, paying a considerable amount for good care for our mom....I do not recommend at all, the activity director did very little for the memory care unti, and though I was due a refund, it was been two months since my mother's death...and nothing! Turn over is horrible, caregivers are unfriendly and uncaring...

My Nannuh' has been here for a little over a year. My sister and I can be a handful (considering we are there every day) but I can assure you that the Caswell House and it's staff have always found time in their day to address our needs and provide EXCEPTIONAL care for my sweet sweet grandma. They have numerous activities to keep residents involved, entertained and smiling along with including family members and loved ones as well. I personally have worked in many different long term facilities and this one is by far the best in consistent care for all the residents. My grandma looks to the Nurses, Med Techs and NAs like her own grandchildren. That in itself speaks volumes on how well they treat and provide for her!

Seriously understaffed with high turnover rates. Supplies to care for loved ones are virtually nonexistent. Very poor management that creates overworked and over-stressed staff. Modern facility that would be ideal with a much needed change in management. There is a management policy to "borrow" toiletries that were paid for by family members and given to other residents. Not recommended at this time.
