Having to make the choice of moving a loved one into assisted living/memory care is hard- I’m grateful they FINALLY had availability for us 🙌 To say- We are a lot happier with the level of care, support, attention and above all compassion this staff has given would be an understatement. Thank you to all of the staff who continue to help make our loved ones life better by showing up for them with love and understanding everyday

I cannot in good conscience recommend this facility, which claims to provide “compassionate care.” Unfortunately, that standard is not reflected in the conduct of Nurse Rosita in the Memory Care Unit in Katy. Her interactions with family members are consistently unprofessional and dismissive. Medications are not administered on time by this nurse and vitals are not checked prior to giving medications—both of which raise serious safety concerns. The family should not have to remind the nurse that it’s time to medicate a Hospice patient. When concerns are brought to her attention, she deflects accountability by referencing her personal circumstances rather than addressing the actual issue: the quality of care being provided to residents. Attempting to report these incidents is pointless, as she has misrepresented events and even involved police to remove family members because she feels “threatened”. Ultimately, the core problem is that she is not fulfilling her responsibilities. Her neglect of following Hospice prescribed instructions timely is unacceptable.

I would strongly caution families about placing their loved ones in this facility. Residents are often left sitting in soiled briefs and clothing for long stretches of time, which was heartbreaking to see. There simply aren’t enough staff members to give the residents the level of care and attention they deserve. On top of that, staff are not given proper training before being asked to handle residents with significant needs. This not only puts staff in a difficult position but also compromises the safety and dignity of the residents. Families trust assisted living communities to provide comfort, respect, and compassion — but that standard is not being met here. Please consider these concerns seriously before making a decision.

My husband has been at Caydance for 7 months now. Prior to having him there, I had visited a dear friend’s Aunt for several years and knew if there ever came a time I needed a place for my husband, it would be Caydance. Overtime my husband’s health continued to decline and his care became too much for me; with still needing to work and proper sleep to function for work, I knew it was time to look for proper care for him. I was very reluctant on the move, however Shannon (Director of Admissions) made the transition very smooth for myself and our children. We are there visiting very often, but when we are not there, there is comfort in knowing the staff keep my husband safe and provide the care he truly needs right now. We have come to know the staff well, with most on a first name basis; they are friendly and now feel like a second family. Although I know my husband would rather be home, he has adjusted well to being there and to the staff that care for him. They have wonderful food, accommodations and always have plenty of activities for them to do to keep the residents active and engaged. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved one to live and be cared for with compassion - Caydance has been a blessing to me and my family during the difficult season we are in with my husbands health and are very grateful.

I can’t say enough about Caydance Assisted Living. I had to relocate my father from WI to Tx. He suffers from dementia and needs more care. I searched several places in Katy and when I came through the doors of Caydance I was almost certain that this was the place for him. Shannon Kneisley helped me get all his paperwork together, she worked with my dad’s lawyer seamlessly and I was able to move him in quickly. The facility is clean and bright, the staff is nothing but friendly to both me and my dad, and the food is good. They plan the days out for him from meals to activities to medications. I highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a great home for your loved one.
