Cedar Cottage

Yeah it's pretty bad. I've been here for two months and I've had my car towed which I thought was odd because I live on the first floor and have a parking pass. It would have been faster for them to knock on my door than to get a tow truck out there. Merry Christmas! Also they have yet to get my paperwork completed and are charging me fees for things I don't owe. There is quite a bit of shady people in the lobby and front of the building regularly which makes me not want to bring anyone over. Also I don't have hot water and when I told the maintenance guy he said that I need to run all three of my faucets at the same time for a while... Yeah that's not a solution and it still doesn't get above warm... 🤷‍♂️

I have lived at Cedar Place for going on nearly six years now. Going from being homeless one day to living in an apartment building that is more like a community than just a building. It started out a little rough, but over time it has gotten much better, which was no small feat. Primarily thanks to the Property Managers, the Maintenance staff and the security guards. One Property Manager has stood out above the rest, in my eyes of course, and that person is Tammy K. There has been no one more passionate, determined and fully devoted to improving this community than her. She's there to do a job and does it exceptionally well. I don't like being told what to do anymore than the next person, but when it's something that is making your quality of life and living space/ home a better place why not be grateful and appreciative rather than complaining about things being made better. I truly appreciate Tammy's commitment to making Cedar Place, which is my home, into a nicer, cleaner, and safer place to live, thanks Tammy you're awesome.

I moved in after Princeton Management took over and I love my apartment! The management and staff is super helpful and friendly. The inside as well as the outside of the property is always well manicured and maintained nicely!

I moved here little over 6 months now, very peaceful, great view. Maintenance does great work for my place and the property. Management is very professional. Tammy explained the policies thoroughly. Furthermore, Cedar Place is a place where security and safety is always a priority. Tammy is truthful and fair when problems arise. For the time I’ve been here I’ve gotten to know majority of my neighbors, all respectful and nice. Whenever I receive packages in the mail, the assistant manager (Dawn) is always kind enough to keep them tucked away in the leasing office till I get back home. All in all, very nice community. Very professional staff.

0️⃣⭐️‼️‼️ This is by far the worst place to ever live!! For starters there absolutely no cameras throughout the 8 floors of the building making me feel completely unsafe. As well as being stalked my first couple of weeks living here. Yes.. stalked. During any time of the day when walking outside or even checking my mail a current tenant would stare and follow me around. Awhile this was happening I mentioned it to management in hopes of getting some sort of help. I had to stand my ground due to nothing being done about the situation. Before proceeding legal action I politely had to tell this current tenant to leave me alone. Prior to signing my lease with Cedar Place Apartments I was told of a parking that I have yet to receive… I signed the lease in August and have not received a parking pass till this day. As well as being told one month into living on the property that the area is known for cars being broken into. The laundry rooms located in every other floor are completely disgusting and a waste of money. There is absolutely no ventilation in the room making it very humid and the explanation of the molding. There being four machines and only two “working”. The machines taking an hour to finish a cycle and clothes still being wet and the dryer not running properly leaving my clothes damp. The elevators are so slow and are constantly dirty, this consisted of spilt alcohol, dog urine and blood being on the walls of elevator. A lot of information was falsely told to me but the my main issue is the lack of professionalism and communication throughout the staff members of Cedar Place Apartments. I have been rudely talked to and had the phone hung up on me by property manager. Who acts like that working in this career field, by far one of the worst experiences as a renter. I have also mentioned a few things about my current apartment such as fixing the nicotine residue leaking from my bathroom walls from the previous tenant and have yet to hear anything back because when I’m calling I get hung up on or they just don’t bother answering the phone.
