I would give 10 stars if I could. Cedar Creek stands out among dementia care facilities for its humanity. Every single person on the team brings tons of heart to their work. The culture of the organization is one of profound kindness, and their skill at caring for dementia is top shelf. My mother lived at Cedar Creek for 6 years before passing away, and her care was simply exceptional. In the weeks leading to her passing, we were treated with incredible compassion. Everyone - nurses, caretakers, front desk staff, facilities managers, recreation coordinators, those in charge of food, the head of nursing, the head of the whole facility - ALL of them took time to check in on us multiple times, coming in to give us and my mom a squeeze, express their sympathy, and offer their help. We were treated like family. It could not have been a better environment. The single most important things dementia patients need are to be treated with patience and love, and that is exactly what you get at Cedar Creek.

When we began our journey to find care for my mother-in-law, we were overwhelmed with emotion and guilt. We felt that we had failed her. Our first placement attempt was disappointing, but Cedar Creek changed everything. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the staff, administration, and other families. Cedar Creek isn't just a facility; it's a community where families visit daily, activities are abundant, and genuine care is evident. The directors and staff are not only compassionate but also incredibly knowledgeable about Alzheimer's and dementia. They educated us, answered our questions, and provided invaluable guidance that we wish we had known earlier. These were questions that we asked of her dementia care team with Kaiser with little real understanding. The level of care for her was exceptional. Staff interactions with residents are consistently calm, respectful, and professional, even when they think no one is watching. They are exceptionally well trained. At Cedar Creek, we could visit her, grieve, and take comfort in the small things. Sometimes, it feels impossible to laugh, but the delight that the staff took in interactions with her were priceless and encouraged me to set aside my grief and live in “her moment”. In my mother-in-law's final days, they went above and beyond to ensure her comfort, moving her to a larger room for privacy and facilitating her return from the hospital for hospice care. And then they mourned again, with us. What incredibly lovely people, all of them! Cedar Creek isn't just a place for Alzheimer's and dementia care; it's a place where residents feel loved, respected, and at peace. If you're seeking care for a loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Cedar Creek. We only wish we had found them sooner.

I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones. Staff here from nursing, front desk, admissions, and caregivers are very friendly. Puts me at ease knowing my mother will be in good care.

Extremely good facility

Excellent care facility specializing in dementia. Residents have great social support and activity. Staff are caring and do their best to work with residents at their level and their preferences as best as possible. Also do well with family members, encouraging visits for meals and other activities.
